For those fortunate to own a Nintendo Switch, that game Sin & Punishment is now available for download on the Virtual Console service.

Another masterpiece from the N64 catalogue. Said this, does anybody know why the hell this title never came out in Europe nor in USA?
@kawamikazecheant2 жыл бұрын
I would say because of how difficult it looks, they might didn't know how to sell this in Europe and USA ? Japan always had hardcore gamers, but in Europe N64 was often considered as a kid's console or as a multiplayers' console, and this game looks dope but rail shooters were kind of obsolete at this time after all FPS ( GoldenEye, Turok, Quake, Doom 64, Hexen etc. ) and to finish chara design is " very japanese " if that could mean anything, and a lot of lights too, so epilepsy could be another reason...
@mrhs52202 жыл бұрын
It was originally supposed to come out in the US. I saw an article in a game magazine about it that said to expect a US release. It has an English voice cast. It even thanks Nintendo of America in the ending credits! It has nothing to do with the difficulty, as the default difficulty setting is really kind of a cakewalk. Really the big reason that it didn't come out in the US was that sales of the N64 consoles and games were dropping off, and NoA was switching its focus to marketing the Gamecube so they decided it wouldn't be a good financial move to bring this game to the US when probably not a lot of people were gonna buy it. (Some people say that the reason we never saw this or Treasure's other N64 game, the incredible Bakuretsu Muteki Bangaioh is because sales of Mischief Makers was so disappointing.)

@GodNotReallol no you couldn't. This game was never released on anything other than n64 in Japan until the wii virtual console. Treasure never made arcade games. You must be confusing it with something else.

@@M0z1ng0You are wrong about treasure not making arcade games. Radiant silvergun and Ikaruga originally released on arcades before they were ported on Saturn/Dreamcast.

@@mythicdale8757 guess you are too busy with finding a new job if that is your hourly going price. The 80’s Citypop/Fusion Techno-kayō is exactly super unique. And more importantly exceptionally well executed. There is nothing like that score.

@@Frisenette Just this week i came across the Bouncer for PS2 which has a similar sound aesthetic. Its literally commonplace amongst Japanese design studios circa '95 - 2010. S&P reminds me a lot of what you would here in Sonic Adventure.
