Man and I do remember the CRT televisions. Mine even had a dials that messed with the color. Used to be so annoying. You accidentally touched it and you were playing mario 64 with pink walls and blue pants for a while until you finnaly got the color back to normal again.

Back when we didn’t know anything about polygon counts or textures or draw distances. Coming from 2d sprites and flat worlds this was amazing, and looking at it in hindsight was a pretty game in n64. You could see the things missing in modern 3d games like lighting and shadow maps, but this looks a lot better today than most games of its era, still holds up. This game really tuned us to how precise that analog stick on the n64 was, and this game used the rumble pack really well.

Nope, that honor easily goes to Snowboard Kids 2 that has better graphics, physics for gameplay, fun variety of courses and characters, moneymaking tricks, item boxes, and story mode with actual cutscenes; SBK2 is even the best N64 racing game overall. Yes, SBK2 easily outclasses both MK64 and DKR. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I always liked this game, but i was annoyed by the fact that it was just racing. Cool Boarders 3 had tricks outside half-pipes, and manual tricks you controlled yourself, but didn't play as slick, or look as good. Ofcourse the SSX series came out in 2000 and made both games irrelevant.

Like i had made the mistake of gettin an n64 instead of a playstation ...back then the marketing was everything ....and they marketed the hell out of n64 compared to PlayStation at least in my neck of the woods in fact i bet Nintendo paid to keep PlayStations ads and stuff out of certain places BECAUSE THEY KNEW IT WAS THE BETTER CONSOLE.....same goes for today even more so...moral is especially now the more they market something....THE MORE THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A TURD ON THEIR HANDS LOOK ,PAY ATTENTION
