Your right there. I know a couple of guys who used them. One worked for the BBC as a sound engineer and he helped design and develop the control panel the BBC used. The other person worked for Rushes in Soho who had one.

The video is nice but why didn't you feed the audio directly into the video? You can't tell anything about sound quality when using a cell phone's microphone.

that´s olders "home recording reel to reel tape tubes like gruding TK-47 and others like that" will work well for recording voice (singing), old style (elvis styles) with all the saturation of the tube time? all warm weight and harmonics that recordings used to had? to play, i can see the video of this, is excellent, but to record i don´t know if will had the same sound quality, or near that´s olders profissional studios recordings using a condenser and preamp

Dog Breath the 3rd Do you think an upper echelon Studer is any worse quality wise in terms of the sound characteristics? Nagra does look sleeker and perhaps more artisan, that is granted, but if looks and perhaps compactness considerations are set aside I can hardly see what else could substantiate a “different league” argument. Respectfully.

Fantastic machine but you need a degree in electronics to drive it and those lights make my head spin. Rather use the Studer or Poor man's professional Revox B77
