Wow I actually bought Chanel's Mimosa and ended up returning it without ever using it as the high price tag felt so wrong. I regretted returning it for awhile as it was sold out everywhere by the time I returned it. Lol I'm def glad I returned it now. These videos r really helpful, I love them. : D

that's why I refuse to pay more than $10 for any one bottle of polish, that way if it sucks, I wouldn't have wasted too much money on it, so the odds of any of those fancy brands like chanel being in my collection is pretty much slim to none unless someone else buys it for me cause I ain't spending my money on it

I make a lot of thermal polish. If you add rubbing alcohol to dissolve thick bits of thermal pigment, it will stay in the warm state. May be what's happening to some of the thermals you've bought.

I absolutely love your channel. Thank you for the info. I believe it was The Sally Hansen velvet texture polish that I was tempted to buy, but I didn't get it. Now I'm glad I didn't. There is nothing more annoying than thinking my polish is dry and touching something hours later and it messes it up!! Can't wait to see your next video. :-)

💟I have those and yea the cheaper brands do take long. I have to paint my nails early in the day with time set aside or I jus use thin coats and run cold water in between so that its dry even when I'm "smudging" for dryness test cause sometimes those things are TRICKY. They will act dry but you pull and smudge and there goes all the work ;(. But yeah i thought even the higher end bottles are the same. Also, it's why I buy a few insta dry by sally hansen-those are nice esp. the neutrals for when you need a solid base coat done quickly

my hubby actually really likes the black Sallly Hanson Velvet. Maybe their formula varies? However, it does seem to chip very easily

Loopy Land It dries matte so the chips don't surprise me too much, matte polishes are notorious for that. I definitely think there are variations between batches of polishes in every brand. No brand is filling every single bottle they make out of the same batch :)

Happy to say I dont't own any of the mentioned polishes :) However, I have bought polishes that never dry, or that don't look good on me (essie Van D'go), disappointing color changing polishes (some Ruby wings) and other polishes that just don't look they way I thought they would look on my nails. Actually I am about to declutter and make some room for my new recent purchases :)

Sally Hansen to me never dries no matter what kind/collection and no matter what time of day I put it on. I’ve just resorted to letting it inevitably smudge when I go to bed then using a top coat to smooth it out in the morning bc they do have some really nice colors.

I love my Meijer polishes! Usually anyway. But, I didn't pick that one up because Color Club had that EXACT same polish that I already had. So, that makes sense if Color Club makes the Meijer polishes

ChelseaKenzie Browning Waiting is about the only other thing that's going to help, imo. Unless you have a nail polish that just dries really fast (ie; neons or matte shades), fast-dry topcoat is the way to go.

ChelseaKenzie Browning I have a nail polish dryer. It's an oil you place over your nails after you paint them, and it helps them dry faster. And unlike the top coat, it can keep matte nails matte

ChelseaKenzie Browning I have one from a while ago, but none of those methods really dry the nails. They just dry the surface layer and the manicure can still dent and smudge. The best thing you can do it use a fast drying top coat and/or wait it out :)

Super Nails makes some neon textured polishes... You should check them out. They let you pick what finish you want. I don't have any yet but I thought they looked pretty cool.

Jess I don't have the name of the people who do this, but they buy crisp polish from you in order to create jewelry. They paint it on glass beads or cabochons, mount it on pendants, earrings, or rings and it's gorgeous.

That's weird, I loved Orly's Key Lime Twist. I think I reached opacity in two coats and it didn't feel gunky at all. I do tend to think Orly is inconsistent, though. Of all brands they've let me down between the bottle and the nail more than any other.

Sheba Nails makes good acrylic and stuff like that but I don't think I'd buy just the regular polish from them. A lot of times that happens where a nail company that makes and sells acrylic and hard gels and things like that start trying to sell regular polish and it just blows. They should probably stick to what they're good at.

When you said "neon textured polishes" I immediately thought "Oh, that must be Moyra" and BAM, I was right... By the way, the brand is hungarian and I tried my best to find international stockists for you, but I only found European ones and just one international, but that doesn't have the Vivid Sand Collection... Gosh, they really should ship all of their products internationally, because I think they would definitely have target audience... I hope they will solve this issue in the near future... Because their other collections and also their "regular" collection polishes are great as well.

I was testing the waters on matt nailpolish types. Did my research and bought 2. a supposed red-purplish color and a black one. Even though i like the so called red-purple type matt nailpolish it is not at all at what i was supposedly buying. It was suppose to be this deep dark red. Well no, it's somewhere between brown and purple. Kind of a strange way darker tone then advertised. It's not bad i am just disappointed that it isn't the color it was suppose to be. The black one is as advertised luckily ^-^ I do like the other one though, it's just not a color i wouldn't normally pick. it grew on me fast though :p edgy haha. Any tips for a real dark red matt nailpolish? I still really want one :p

Michelle Castillo There two polishes mentioned that didn't dry for me. One of them wasn't dry enough on the first coat to add a second, so a top coat would not have helped. The other was a textured finish and a top coat would ruin the effect.

Deborah Catterall I have some older ones (like 4 years old) from Pretty & Polished that still change great. They sent me some new ones a while back and they all weren't functional within a month or two. I tried to email them about the initial video I did and asking about the thermals but they never replied to any of my emails again...oh well! Other brands might last a bit longer, though I think all thermals generally have a shorter shelf life :)

With the Sally Hansen and the other brand, I'd just write to them and tell them that they didn't dry. I had issues with a Sally Hansen polish that would not dry earlier this year and Cutex (owner of Sally Hansen) were great to deal with, I contacted their website, explained the problem and asked if I could return the polishes. They gave me a postage address, I returned the polishes and they replaced them with other polishes and I'm a very happy customer. If we buy a washing machine that is broken, or clothes that are faulty, we return them. So why don't we return polishes that are less than 12 months of age and that do not do what they are advertised to do? As far as I'm concerned a polish that won't dry is not something I can fix, so why not make the company that sells these products accountable for the performance of their product?

you don't have to be confrontational - just be polite about it (the world is nicer if everyone is polite). All I did was email their website, described the problem and asked if they would allow me to return the problem polish. We spend good money on these polishes and while I'm happy to keep a polish when I've made a poor choice about colour or texture, its a different matter when the polish just does not dry at all, that's a faulty product. Its also important that companies get constructive feedback as they want happy customers as well.

I wonder if the textured neons where from Dance Legend, this is a Russian brand and they do fantastic polishes, I think you can buy them from Llarowe in the US, here in the UK I can get them from either Rainbow-Connection.co.uk or hypnoticpolish.com, I have one of their tri-thermals so I am hoping it doesnt go weird within a couple of months.
