I would pay extra for my nails to be done right using her techniques. These nail salons are horrible in my city. Grind your natural nails down so that the stuff sticks? No. It takes my natural nails months to heal from that damage. Charge extra for "gel" nails that are used with powder. Crazy.

I agree I am also a holosexual and overall just because Christine didn’t like something doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be used. Suzie is a professional and no offense but Christine isn’t. She went to school and got her major in crime and health statistics and analysis while Suzie went to school to be a nail tech. They’re both different but both important. Obviously Suzie has dedicated her life’s work to this when it’s just a hobby for Christine although I love her to death. I wish more people watched Suzie because she really is full of knowledge and tries to help the very best she can.

Britomart Runciter There is an intense lack of education, at least where I live. There is only one place within an hour that teaches cosmetology. The program only does one chapter on acrylics.
@kelseymorine-reid5863
@kelseymorine-reid5863 7 жыл бұрын
Britomart Runciter there are places around that us nail techs called chop shops and they didn't do the proper training. Some places don't even have a mail license so they use a MMA acrylic which is like so bad for you that why most people think acrylic is bad for you because they get the common misconception that it's bad after a bad experience at one of these places. So proper training and proper products is such a key to good Nails!!
@IamMissPronounced
@IamMissPronounced 7 жыл бұрын
me too. The last time I had acrylics done, the tech dipped the entire brush (which was the size of a flat paintbrush btw) into the liquid and DIDN'T DAB IT DRY AT ALL. She applied that soaking wet brush to my entire nail, nail bed and cuticle in order to flatten out and smooth the acrylic powder. My heart hurts just thinking about that painful few days after the application.

Last time I got my nails done I went to a new place. They over filed my natural nails and used may too much liquid monomer. I was in agony. When I got them removed, my natural nail bed was so thin the there was a visable ledge when the new nail had grown.

Don't think an allergy would make your nails ache. I think it'd make your skin break out in a rash and whatnot. [Plus she also specified "at a certain place".] Simply having aching nails sounds very much like poor application, plain and simple.
@anniecytn
@anniecytn 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah :// Additionally, when I've paid attention to certain techs that work on me in this salon, I have seen them get a big glob on the brush and kind of wave it around in the air like that will dry it out more :o and it does the spill over/drooping thing Suzie talks about here... it's pretty bad sometimes! I may not be a nail tech, but Suzie's channel helps me to be an informed client, which is also becoming incredibly useful information to have!
@Tata-iu3fy
@Tata-iu3fy 7 жыл бұрын
annie. cytn it's probably from over filing. Or tips that aren't for your nail bed shape. Every since I started doing my own nails, they stopped aching the next day. I would try to find a new tech that takes pride in their work, and does their best to not ruin your natural nails.

I think it's incredibly rude to constantly be commenting “holosexual" this and that or, Cristine does it this way or Cristine doesn't like this, blah blah blah on someone else's nail channel when they have taken the time to teach their viewers something of value. Guys! Cristine, although funny, is not a nail technician and doesn't know everything there is to know about nails. She does mediocre nail art and hasn't even done that in forever. I wouldn't watch her for educational purposes, only entertainment. Yes, she has already reviewed a bunch of products on her channel but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. She is not the end all be all. Not trying to take away from Cristine's channel because I do watch her when I need a laugh but, to actually learn something, I turn to Suzie.

You seriously are magical or something. This video is exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. ^_^ There's so few tutorials about this and I've been just trying to figure it out on my own because I knew it had to be possible. Granted, experimenting on my own is fun, but it's so nice to see that what I've been working towards is totally doable and just as beautiful!!! Thank you so much for this and all your other tuorials. You're like my nail angel.

Andromeda that’s exactly what I was thinking! that was the first thought that popped into my head, I’m sure the spray form is more dangerous
@Pixelynx
@Pixelynx 7 жыл бұрын
I doubt the spray form is more dangerous. You should be spraying it right into a cotton swab. There's shouldn't be enough space for it to spray out freely. Maybe if one uses it in a foolish way -- like spraying it directly onto the nails -- but with proper use, the toxicity of it should be no more dangerous than regular acetone.
@Pixelynx
@Pixelynx 7 жыл бұрын
Personally, it'd likely be less dangerous for people like me. I tend to leave the cap off my acetone until I'm completely done removing polish, so I inhale it quite a bit.

Anyway, somehow I am here and I'm completely mesmerized by your videos. Perhaps it's a meditation of sort, is that weird? Probably. Well, I just have to say your set up with the lights is extremely soothing and beautiful. I adore your personality and have found myself watching your videos (+subscribed) just for the serenity. I think it makes it totally spill and leak-proof, so if you're busy with a client you don't have to worry about opening and closing the acetone. Also, the acetone won't evaporate when it's left open 😊
