easiest thing to do is for them to allow one to use their own subwoofer. Sennheiser does this as well as BOSE now. But I understand they want to make more money.

The Dragon is a phenomenal achievement, make no mistake , this is theatre level sound in the home. Up to now, none of the plug and play systems can do it like the Dragon. This is a special system that offers an unparalleled experience with 4 eight inch subwoofers producing very ample bass and wonderful surround speakers.

I had just upgraded my surround system in 2022 from an AVR 7.1 system with wired Bose speakers to a Bose 900 Atmos Soundbar, two surround speakers, and two 12" subwoofers totaling around $3,000. It was so much nicer than my AVR system but still, was a bit disappointed with the Atmos performance, or lack of Atmos performance. It just didn't seem to have enough "umph" (my technical term for it) to push the sound up to my ceiling and back down to my seating position. It only had one set of upfiring front speakers and no back upfiring speakers. Also, you could only plug in the TV to the soundbar as there is only one eARC/HDMI plug on the bar itself. Everything else has to plug into the TV. So, I ended up having to upgrade my TV as I only had ARC, not eARC in my TV so couldn't get Atmos at the time. If I would have waited a few months and seen the Dragon offered, I never would have purchased my Bose system. When I saw the reviews from CES 2023 on the Dragon, I was sold immediately. Can plug everything into the Dragon and then have one eRAC to the TV. Has rear upfiring speakers and dual set of front upfiring speakers. Best part for me is 3,000 watts of power which is enough to push those Atmos sounds to "infinity and beyond"! Well, not really, but definitely can bounce off my ceiling and to my seating position. Bought one of the first 500 offered and got my unit in August. Best system I have ever heard in person, that wasn't a theater. Super happy with my unit and the power to really play movies as they were meant to be played from disc whether Dolby or DTS:X!

If you provided it with a more robust warranty it would already be in my home. For this price and it's proprietary nature it should be 3 years at the least .

Ma man, it's understandable how you feel about that, but if you're an entertainment sound freak. You're really missing out. Nak has pretty good customer service helping with any issue. Get it! You won't regret it!

Had mine for only about a week and I'm amazed and it's not even fully setup and properly placed yet. My speaker stands came in I'll be setting those up this week. You will not regret this purchase, all my friends and family (including my busy with a (40k dollar theater surround room) is blown away by the Dragon. He's really irritated that my Dragon sounds as good as his theater, this is no joke. He's probably already ordered one for his new man cave.

My question is about the soundbar steel case being damaged from shipping. I've seen a lot of videos of dragon u it's coming out of the box with ripples on top of the soundboard. Is Dragon going to fix this issue, Thanks

They switched up their packing. Now the soundbar comes with a slim piece of plastic on top of the soundbar to protect it further. Mine came in with no issues

i have the dragon it is an amazing sound system just love it. i wish however for the subs to hit a little harder 2 12 inch subs should do it even for music..i play a lot of old school house music.

Why you do not put Subwoofers and rear speakers in a second package to solve the issue with weight for international delivery ?

They have redesigned it twice so far as per the video. Not sure any of the new packaging has shipped yet.

I received my system yesterday. Although the outer box had a few scuff marks, the components arrived in mint condition. I live on the east coast and the package survived the cross-country trip via UPS Ground. The packaging is definitely more substantial than that shown in the early delivery videos here on KZbin. As for the sonic experience of this system…. Ladies and Gentlemen…. Fasten your seatbelts. 😉

Loving the DRAGON. As you mention @Rayman, this is the only soundbar system I’ve found that supports 4K/60fps, 8K, Atmos, DTS:X, and VRR passthrough. Over the past two years I’ve tried the latest Samsungs and Sonys and had to return them all, since none of them played well with the Xbox Series X until DRAGON. Question: Is there a roadmap for firmware updates with fixes/enhancements? Also is there a way to track tickets for specific issues? In particular I'm experiencing the significant PCM audio delays discussed in threads on the support forum, so curious as to what the support and engagement strategy is for bugs and feature requests.

HDMI input switching needs improving (which I know is not trivial) but the lag is pretty terrible compared to most other modern mainstream devices.

I noticed the tweeters on my main unit and surround speakers I received were not as "Gold" colored as those shown on the Nakamichi Dragon website.

I was wondering about that myself. I have probably @#300 of the initial 500. I would have liked my AMT tweeters to also have some sort of GOLD plating too. Or the rears but they don't. Probably trying to save some money.

Hey there! Our AMT tweeters are indeed yellow-gold in color. However, as this is a product render, light is positioned directly in front of the unit for greater vibrance. Hence, the color might appear brighter than what we see in real life.

U can build the soundbar in 2 or 3 pieces to connect them then u can make them longer and shipping can be done on a euro pallet we shipping cargo bikes and weight much more 😂 where u can fitt 4 kids

They should do a software update to add an option pair of the surround speakers up front

I suggested that before it was released. That's you should be able to buy an additional pair of surround speakers at your expense. However it sounds so good as is I don't think we need it.
