In switzerland eritreans and tamils live together and let me tell you i see you as my "nubian" brothers. I am not informed enough to know about specifics of what is going on in Namibian internal politics but a meeting between german politicians and namibian politicians is about exchanging views and see what can be done together in my opinion. It is not necessarily about one party bowing down in continuous apologies about this or that. And additionally: What I saw in this video is a cut talk. A sequence of what I guess is a longer talk between two gentleman exchanging views. so we don't know what has happened before or after, we just see what is in the video. That the german politician is listening is in my opinion a sign of politeness and maturity and not a sign of weakness.

China was never a coloniser, they were isolationist through much of their history. It is neo-colonisation what they're doing now but don't act like the US never did it. You need to understand that for them the West or China makes no difference. If China builds roads and harbors, they will support them even if Chinese controll infrastructure they build. Germans should be more worried about themselves, they just gave away 24.99% shares in their largest harbor to Chinese. A wealthy economic power did that for sweet deal with Chinese and they're going to lecture Africa.

They were isolationist and that stopped their expansion, they could probably colonise and conquer the earth or at least rival Europeans had they wanted to. Well US expansion in 19th century, takeover of native land. Neocolonisation in Hawai and previously Cuba, all the coups and meddling in South America, Monrou doctrine, wars in the middle-east, US companies extracting resources from Africa. Idk I live in an eastern NATO country, I hate Russia, so I rather have a positive view over the US. I'm just saying that from a perspective of Africans China and the West might be the same thing and when their former colonisers talk about some abstract values, they won't take it seriously. Also while Africa (even subsaharan) is extremely diverse we view it as one damn thing. They perceive the West as one entity as well and hold every western country accountable for every bad thing the West ever did, that includes European colonisation. You don't need Africa as your allies.
