Pretty cool, especially if you were there, but of course, Stevie was just dinkin’ around on the Rhodes. We’ve all seen and heard real performances that were amazing. This was just some chords. And I wonder if he liked that guy messing with the controls while ge was playing. Maybe it was fine with it. Personally, I’ve heard enough of how you can make the MK8 sound wacky. That’s what I have a synth for. I just want to hear straight up Rhodes, or maybe the stereo tremolo or some chorus or phaser. But I get how if you’re heading up the new Rhodes company, you’d be pretty stoked to have Stevie Wonder playing one.

Every-time I see digital Melotron demos they always sound like the samples in my old Roland Romplers. I have yet to understand what a sample-based Melotron brings to the table other than a famous name. Maybe I'm missing something. Does it have some unique functionality?

You mean as opposed to other Mellotron samples? I think it's just the name and the look. Some are willing to pay extra for both. I'm not, but some are.
