Even more indispensable on a D2 . But the D2 codes work with most of the Defender TD5 systems. But not the other way around.

Thanks, Dave! Good video! Would it make sense, in your opinion, to hook up the Nanocom and fix it to the dash to see live the engine information while driving? Or will be somehow taxing on the system?

Some people do afix the Nanocom on the dash to monitor a running engine's information with no problems on the system.

Great info and video! i subscribed! I'm going to buy either the Hawkeye Total, Nanocom or the Atlantic British's iLand app for my Disco 2. What do you reckon?

Hi Juke179r The Hawkeye and Nanocom are well trodden paths and will do the job well (I prefer the nano over Hawkeye). Also you could sell them on eBay at almost the same as the purchase price if you sell the disco. I'm not 100% convinced on the iLand, plus it's really expensive.

Dave, is a Nanocom plug and play in a lap top or do you need to down load any files ?

It's plug and play. You'll only need a PC/laptop is to download and update the firmware.

Can you reset the computer so that cleared faults reappear?

The Nanocom clears faults so hopefully the faults will not reappear.

@@JUKE179rNanocom wil not always clear faults. Especially 3 amigos...maybe BBS can explain why...pretty pointless paying big money for a glorified OBD unit that fails at basic tasks. Not hating, I have a NC but wish I'd bought a Hawkeye. I emailed BBS looking for a Nanocom unit, still no response. As a last resort I bought one locally for my LR model but its a pretty average unit(Evolution). I paid basically 75% new price for it as BBS Cyprus just simply ignored me for two weeks when seeking to buy. P1ss poor by BBS, not impressed. The guys is also on Aulro.com.....Avoid, IMHO, that is my personal experience..

@@InputCity Did you try their Nanocom forum? The Admins and users always answer my questions within a couple of days on the Nanocom forum. I had an issue with their Firmware not being able to sync my odometer to the BCU. Within 2 days, the forum admin messaged me to tell me to look out for an email from them having a link to their Beta 1.35 firmware. That Nanocom firmware update corrected my problem. For me it's well worth the money spent. I bought mine for (280 pounds) and saved me paying 1000s of pounds at the LR garages to pay a mechanic to diagnose errors that I was able to do at my house with the Nanocom.

I'm very disappointed of this Nanocom product. Waste of money. I had such a bad experience with registering and trying to connecting with the cars.
