Public Service Announcement. If you're going to attempt latte art with Nespresso "espresso" (especially the Vertuo that I have), the crema on Nespressos is usually too thick for doing latte art. I think Nespresso engineers it to produce that extra, artificial, aerated crema - but it's too thick for the nanofoam to move through. I was getting very frustrated with my results, then I decided to spoon most of the crema off the top of the Nespresso shot. It helps to leave some of it there to create a nice contrast. As soon as I did that, the nanofoam was making nice, striated ripples.

Do you have the same hearing sound? I don't know if it's normal or not...

Thanks for this. Highly practical for folks who have a manual espresso rig. How would you say this compares to a Bellman stovetop steamer? Up until this video, the Bellman seemed like perhaps the best way to go in concert with a manual espresso maker. If this is better that's great since it's also less expensive.
@Sprometheus4 жыл бұрын
It’s he’s to compare it to the Bellman because the use of steam is kind of a two for one as it heats and textures. But the Nanofoamer can texture milk as well as a steam, if you don’t mind the extra step of heating it.
@markturner38233 жыл бұрын
The Nanofoamer is a good idea though I wish I had waited for version 2. The power button is hard to hold down and the screens keep falling off into the milk. With some minor tweaks to the design this will become a very good product.

Yeah, he didn’t really go into that. The mesh is considerably finer than all the other frother wands (there’s also an Ikea one in addition to the ones you mention). This means you actually have a chance of making microfoam that can stay suspended in the milk rather than froth, which tends to float
