I think heating the milk in the microwave is easier. With a little experiment, you can figure out the exact time you need in the microwave to reach your desired temperature.

Public Service Announcement. If you're going to attempt latte art with Nespresso "espresso" (especially the Vertuo that I have), the crema on Nespressos is usually too thick for doing latte art. I think Nespresso engineers it to produce that extra, artificial, aerated crema - but it's too thick for the nanofoam to move through. I was getting very frustrated with my results, then I decided to spoon most of the crema off the top of the Nespresso shot. It helps to leave some of it there to create a nice contrast. As soon as I did that, the nanofoam was making nice, striated ripples.

There is a little section somewhere on the screen to report an ad but only while it’s running. So you gotta be quick. The problem is I doubt KZbin will take action on it anytime soon. They are super slow to act on ads purely because they don’t fall under the same rules as channel content.

Your way of showing and generally approaching the mistakes you make is great! (Also having your God shot video in mind here) Social media is filled with all sorts of bs and perfect pours! @@Sprometheus Hi. I just got the NanoFoamer v2 (with AA batteries) today. When I use it perpendicularly, I hear that sound (buzzing) very fine, everything seems good. The problem occurs when I tilt it to the recommended position, the sound changes (the buzzing becomes stronger, as if a small object touches something else, such as the existence of a small gap between two components). Do you have the same hearing sound? I don't know if it's normal or not...

I imagine because no steam is involved in the process of microfoaming the texture should be fuller than using a steam wand since no water was added in the process. Did you notice any taste and texture differences with Nanofoamer?

Thanks for this. Highly practical for folks who have a manual espresso rig. How would you say this compares to a Bellman stovetop steamer? Up until this video, the Bellman seemed like perhaps the best way to go in concert with a manual espresso maker. If this is better that's great since it's also less expensive.
@Sprometheus
@Sprometheus 4 жыл бұрын
It’s he’s to compare it to the Bellman because the use of steam is kind of a two for one as it heats and textures. But the Nanofoamer can texture milk as well as a steam, if you don’t mind the extra step of heating it.

The Nanofoamer is a good idea though I wish I had waited for version 2. The power button is hard to hold down and the screens keep falling off into the milk. With some minor tweaks to the design this will become a very good product.

I understand with the review that you were comparing the Nanofoamer to a steam wand, but how does it differ from an $8 milk frother wand from say Target or Walmart? Yeah, he didn’t really go into that. The mesh is considerably finer than all the other frother wands (there’s also an Ikea one in addition to the ones you mention). This means you actually have a chance of making microfoam that can stay suspended in the milk rather than froth, which tends to float
