Napoli is a beautiful city in a post-apocalyptic environment. My goodness
@chetecredivecachera9099 Жыл бұрын
Pretty accurate. Once Luciano De Crescenzo said "In this world of progress, in this world full of missiles and atomic bombs, I think that Naples is still the last hope humanity has left to survive".

I didn't enjoy the Naples metro at all. Some of the stations were nice, but the trains come way too infrequently, they're always over capacity, the rides are bumpy and uncomfortable, many of the gates and ticket machines are broken, and there aren't many useful or convenient connections between lines (one line was completely closed!). And when you arrive at the central station from line 1 you have to walk halfway across a mall to actually get to the station.

Glad to see passenger all wear masks, and lots of are KN-95. Italians learnt to be vigilant to COVID, but sadly the Americans did not and the death per million people is still the highest among the developed countries

At the time of my visit, wearing FFP2/KN95 was mandatory and strictly enforced indeed

Indeed I recognized Scampia too! I didn't feel unsafe inside the Scampia station or in the metro though
@DrGreg2122 жыл бұрын
Scampia isn't like in the early 2000s, now it's way better because of the requalification of the area that the metro station offered and various associations that every day try to put a smile on every Scampian kid and to let them grow up with right principles and away from the camorra.
@Neldot2 жыл бұрын
Don't be silly, Scampia is certainly not the better neighborhood around, but it's neither like you see it in Gomorra. Gomorra is a romanced camorra history, that just picks some episodes of 30 years ago and magnifies them. Today Scampia is pretty safe, a bit of drug still around but few violewnt crimes, there are a lot of less safe neighborhoods around other italian and european big cities.
@gabrielstravels Жыл бұрын
Except that the station was actually Frullone (2 stops before Piscinola-Scampia).
@b13ne10 ай бұрын
As a doctor I've worked in Scampia for almost ten years and I've never had bad experiences there. I remember nice respectful people and, in home visits, clean environments. Of course there is the 'bad' side and criminality but not only that.

@@central-city Gotcha. But I think you'll find the network quite interesting. Full of antiquities, especially in central stations (also Acropolis station obviously). Also, this summer, the extension of line 3 to the port will connect the former to the airport, directly.
