How To, Maintenance and Troubleshooting for the Napoleon Fireplace Electronic Pilot Light Ignition System

While I understand that the pilot flame will go out if it is in CPI mode and hasn't been operated in 7 days, if the Fireplace is in CPI mode and the electricity goes out, does the timer continue to operate and in so the pilot flame, or does the pilot flame stop when the timer looses power?

I am trying to turn off my Napoleon fireplace for the summer and I was able to shut off the pilot light and the flame with the black knob in the off position. However, I can't locate the gas line valve? Do all fireplaces have access to the gas line valve?

How do you know if your gas pilot light is lit?
