I was sceptical about this movie..£20 to watch a film that makes an absurdity of Napoleon's main feature, his battles. The second I saw a rifleman with a scoped rifle perched on a rest and taking a pot shot at a sword wielding Napoleon at Waterloo....I wanted my money back. Has Hollywood lost it's marbles ? Did they forget to hire a historical advisor ? Such a damn shame, one of my all time favourite films dealing with the Napoleonic era is the Duellists, a Ridley Scott film, this is a shocker ! You'll learn nothing about Napoleon's battle's by watching this film. I can't get my money back I don't think, don't lose yours.

Yeah it's a travesty. Around the same time as these trailers came out I left a comment on one of them, likely this one, about the wrongful portrayal of Austerlitz. A few days later I received notice of a comment that got reported and deleted, and I was threatened with an account ban. Now I check both trailers again just to see if I got any replies on the comment and yep, gone. Good job Sony. 85 years old director and couldn't get the battle of Austerlitz right or even partly as accurate as the 2002 mini-series. Clearly people who wish for at least a modicum of accuracy are not the audience they want, far be it from me to disappoint them.
