I randomly saw the CON snot in the beauty supply store months ago and decided to try it (I’m a fan of the gorilla snot so I thought C.O.N.had to be better for my hair). Initially I loved it but when I tell you that stuff left me with every flake in the book...snow flakes, corn flakes, frosted flakes, flaked flakes! All of em. The bottle specifically says no flaking which is 100% misleading. Not to mention my hair was hard as a rock, it felt like it could snap. I really wanted to like it because the hold is great but it’s not worth all that

The C.O.N snot caused sooooo much buildup and flaking on my hair’ I tried it 3 times, separate ways and each time it looked like I had tons of dandruff... the hold is great, but I can’t do all the build up 😩🤷🏽‍♀️
@Talisa3636
@Talisa3636 6 жыл бұрын
Have you tried it for slicked down styles? It gives me a super duper hold! I sort of feel like trying the snot or wash n goes to see if it causes the flaky issue that you and many others state but build up is no joke!

I use the Gorilla Snot Gel for twist outs and it comes out soooo amazing! I usually put Shea Butter, Oil, or Bees Wax in each strand first then apply a small amount of the gel. You will be amazed at how your twist out comes out. Wish I could send you a pic. Also mines came out really soft. I think its because I used the oil underneath it.

i’ve used gel with my twist outs forever! they hold for up to 5 days. it gives me so much definition too, because the gel makes my hair curl up, then once it’s twisted, it’s like a more controlled version of a wash and go. it’s like my favorite little tip. people are always asking me how i do mine.

Personally, my edges are so fragile that I fear any types of gel that may dry them out. However, your videos are always fun and educational. I enjoyed it nonethless. You are so refreshingly geniine. Your videos and tutorials are so soothing and reassuring. I turn to them every time I feel like throwing in the towel with my very dense 4c hair whether I don't know how to style it or how to get through exhausting wash days or trying to figure out how to keep it moisturized... I stopped relaxing in 2005 and kept my hair in twists. It grew extremely long but I hated my hair and kept cutting it off. I was natural then for about 7 years before I relaxed my hair again. With my pregnancy last year I stopped relaxing and January 1, 2018 will mark two full years that I have been natural. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who inspired me to learn to love all of myself because I want her to love all of herself. Please never stop making videos because people like you make me feel like I am not alone in this journey. I have learned so much from you already! Thank you for all that you do.

I actually just saw the Creme of Nature in my local Walgreens. I've never been one to lay down my edges so I'm not really into either product, but, for those that do use it I'd have to say C.O.N. for the win. Whitney, those faces you were making had me in tears. Too funny. Good to see you back.

I’ve been using the gorilla snot for probably more then a year now. I’m still using the first bottle I ever bought lol. I heard about gorilla snot and how well it held edges down so I decided to give it try. I’ve tried everything to hold my edges down including edge control. Eco styler gets the job done but I prefer the gorilla snot over the eco styler. I haven’t tried using it on my whole head I just leave the snot for my edges and the eco styler for the rest of my hair. I also love the smell of gorilla snot you said there wasn’t a scent to it but there definitely is. To me it smells like cherries I love it lol

Out of everything I have "trialed & error'd", I found that AUSSIE hair gel works great. I use 80% of natural products on my hair and Aussie does the same thing as the snot, and doesn't give me that flaky caked up look. I can wet my hair day after day, apply the gel for WEEKS and it never looks dirty or smells disgusting even though I haven't washed my hair yet.

Have you had troubles before using Aussie trying to find a gel that actually holds because literally nothing works on my hair and I’m trying to find a really good hold that doesn’t flake.

I use the creme one and I must tell you it is the strongest gel EVER. It was really hard on my hair when I did as twist out, I didn’t like it at all. There were no shine at all and my edges were soo slay which I like lol , but I was really scared that I was going to lose them. It did the job but the left over was really. I wouldn’t buy it again. However , it is great for ponytails and buns other than that I wouldn’t recommend because it is not flexible product for styling.

I love gorilla snot gel because even though it gets hard when dry, it holds all day. And when i do updos, i blend the Gorilla snot with the AmPro style brown gel, that makes the hair a little softer but it still holds all day. It works for me, so I’m sticking to it🤷🏽‍♀️ not a lot of products can hold my style all day, but that definitely does. And it doesn’t flake at all unless it’s tampered with. And if so, just apply a little water and brush it in place and you’re good to go.❤️

i hopped on the gorilla snot wagon because my edges are 4c and i wasnt experienced at "laying" my edges. Gorilla snot literally disintegrated my weak ass edges (although i didnt moisten my edges or use a cream😣) ive been having excellent results wit my spray bottle mix, sealing with pure castor oil, adding eco styler (argan oil), brushing my hair back with a soft bristle brush and tying down with mt scarf for at least 25 mins👌.

Hey Tasia! Haha, actually I wasn't expecting the final results at all! I came into the review only having tried the Gorilla Snot and I love that, so I actually thought the Creme of Nature was going to be the same as the snot, but maybe just more expensive! The results were completely unexpected! But now I love both products, and I think they both serve their own purposes for whatever the consumer is looking for! Xo! ❤️❤️❤️

I've done it before on my 4c hair and as long as you spray your hair with water and then rub a little snot between your palms down the hair, it defines the curls BEFORE you even twist it. I got the most compliments on my twist out when I used the CON snot on it. and it wasnt hard, crusty curls either. Lasted me about a week

I’ve used the Creme of nature snot to do a twist out and I love it... now a caution is to not mix with too many other products. I used creme of nature other products and their foam.... I did just twists and my twists lasted for about three weeks.. with no flaking

I actually bought gorilla snot today, hence why I'm watching reviews on it😂. I was reading the bottles in the store and your type is meant to shine I think, I got the sports one (it has a menthol scent) so that it hopefully holds down my edges through this crazy British weather. It's been rainy, and my edges are intact, so far so good😂😂

For whatever reason the gorilla snot does not agree with my hair. Almost every time I try to use it it leaves clumps of product and flakes in my hair even when I use the smallest amount.

Aw man!! 😩 I wonder are you using any product underneath? I always use creams under my gels, but sometimes if I use a cream that doesn't mix well with the gel, I get white clumps throughout! Not with the Gorilla gel, but just in general! I don't know if that's happening, but just trying to help troubleshoot! 😩🙏❤️
