Unfortunately, infidelity tends to go hand in hand with narcissism. Especially, somatic narcissism. Narcissists believe EVERYTHING they need is external, including self-worth, self-esteem, validation, etc. Those things are what make up our inner world and we are supposed to develop and cultivate them within/on our own. Narcissists DEPEND on people to supply those things for them. Because we cannot (nor, are we supposed to) supply every want/need of a partner, narcissists are always on the lookout for "better supply". They will always gravitate toward anyone they feel can meet the needs/wants their spouse isn't (and can't). Narcissists are unstable and they cannot soothe themselves. They cannot meet their own needs and their needs/wants are constantly changing. Narcissists are black holes. They are human abyss' of unmet needs/wants. Even if you gave them everything, they'd still want MORE... All while giving NOTHING in return. Narcissists are also pathologically bored. They do not experience boredom the way normal adults do. They're like children. Once they become bored, they tend to throw their toys (people) in a corner to collect dust. Then, they search for new ones... Untilllll, they realize that their newest toy isn't as fun. Or, it doesn't function as well as the old toy did. Then, they'll go digging in the corner to find that old toy (the reason their relationships tend to be off and on). People are objects meant to keep them occupied and entertained. The newer the toy, the better/more exciting it is. However, EVERYONE will inevitably lose their shine with the narcissist. You must accept their reality and realize that it's NOT ABOUT YOU and it never was. This is also the point when it becomes crucial to sit your ego on the curb. Your ego will want to fight to be seen. Your ego will want to fight to prove you're enough. Your ego will feel it's "worthy" of the narcissist and fight to "keep" them... But, again: IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU. Most narcissists are extremely irresponsible. Many of them marry to secure stability. Or, to have someone they can count on to help with bills to free up their resources. It also ensures they'll have somewhere safe to land when they fall - because they always f*** up... Do yourself a favor and pull that rug of security out from under them and save YOURSELF. Narcissists do not have a moral compass. They do not respect the union of marriage. It'll always be a one-sided arrangement with you being the giver that's making their life easier and them being the taker that's making your life harder. We deserve the same love, attention, support and understanding that we give our spouses. You will never get it from someone suffering with NPD. Moreover, if you feel sure that your husband might never cheat on you, you might have to rethink. Most wives in marriages are shocked when they find out their husband cheating, and it happens more with people who never thought they would cheat. This is why you have to take the tiniest suspicion carefully. If your husband is cheating on you, the best and probably the only guaranteed way to catch him is to spy on their phones. Another big sign is (if they are “seriously” cheating as opposed to just one night stands, hookers, etc.) their personality will completely change since they are concentrating on mirroring the new (possible replacement) supply. This new persona will seem really weird and it is because they are now reflecting whomever that new supply wants them to be, not you.

The saddest thing about narcisistic abuse is that it's needless, makes no sense, occurs for no reason, and can permanently damage the victim's sense of identity, self-worth, and ability to trust in others. I don't have any mental- healthcare credentials, to be clear. However, I could write ten books about how it feels to be a victim of such abuse; and how difficult it can be to recover from. Victims of narcissistic abuse will often suffer for years, even long after the abusive relationship has ended. This kind of abuse has one sole purpose, which is to feed the narcissist's need to feel; superior, dominant, and omnipotent by draining the victim of their mental, emotional, and often financial stability. Narcissistic abuse is not just about someone “temporarily losing it” after a bad day. It's not about stress or even dishonesty, falling out of love or cheating etc. Although narcisists may engage in such behaviors; not every cheating, dishonest, or even self-absorbed person is a narcissist. Not all batterers are necessarily narcissists ( although many probably are). Narcissism is like the worst possible behaviors towards others, multiplied by at least 10; then added to that is the narcissist's inability to feel conpassion or empathy for others. Narcissistic Abuse is a calculated means of controlling someone else's behaviors and thought processes via extreme mental, and emotional bullying and outright emotional blackmail; commonly (but not alway) accompanied by physical abuse. Narcissists will tell you the sky is red. If you disagree and say the sky is actually blue, they'll tell you you're crazy, stupid, and incapable of distinguishing different colors. When you go outside and point to the sky and say, “ The color of the sky is clearly blue”, the narcissist will respond with, “ Of course it is, that's what I've been saying all along!” Do you see how insane this is? It would be quite hilarious if it weren't for the fact that the entire purpose of an argument such as the one above, is to cause the victim to start questioning his or her own sanity. If the victim of such abuse doesn't recognize what's going on, they will slowly begin questioning their own judgement and sanity. These techniques are also frequently used with gaslighting. Gaslighting is the act if purposefully confusing someone through circular, unending arguments; or may occur by moving or removing a victim's objects such as keys, phone, other items- all in an effort to trick the person into thinking they're going crazy. An example: “Where is my wallet? I know I put it in my purse last night. Now I don't have my checkbook, cash, etc. I must be losing it!” Most people can't imagine why someone would purposely cause such confusion and chaos for someone else, therefore never suspect the narcissist unless they're caught. Even then, the narcissist will likely deny any accusations… The narcissist's main goals- is to reap havok, chaos, and dysfunction into an otherwise mostly normal person's life. What's more, the perpetrator will purposefully cause the victim into a reaction, then use that reaction to gain support from their”flying monkeys”. These agents of narcissists are carefully picked, so that the narcissist's view cannot be debated by an objective observer. This triangulation also causes the victim to further doubt or dismiss their own thoughts and feelings. Narcissistic abuse is complete and total psychological warfare against another human being. The targeted person can be the NPD's children, but is often the NPD's spouse or significant other. Children of narcissists are also more likely to become narcissists themselves due to genetic and environmental factors. Or, they may have BPD or BPD tendencies. That's not to say that ALL children of NPD's have personality or mental-health disorders. Targets of those with NPD are usually very generous, often sensitive, and friendly people that have their lives at least somewhat together. NPD'S choose these kinds of people for a reason, because the reality is NPD's are empty human beings full of self-hatred. They are inwardly chaotic, and this chaos often translates into either an extremely neat and tidy exterior facade or may manifest into complete disorder and mess. I don't sympathize with those with NPD because they aren't psychotic- they do know the difference between right and wrong. They just choose to do wrong, choose to purposely hurt others because it boosts their often very tiny, fragile egos. These are dangerous people, and the only difference between most of them and a common murderer is that they haven't physically murdered anyone yet. Well, most of time. Moreover, People wonder why they end up hurt, seriously hurt, and even killed for their own actions. Cheating is a choice and there’s simply a lot of ignorance in the process.... It sure is needless. In the end if we can recover we can love again. But they are hurting themselves more than us. Destroying the pure love we gave. And they’ll never break free of the vicious cycle they’re in because they aren’t aware of it. They’ve lied & twisted things so long even to themselves. It’s some kind of coping mechanism for them I guess that they can’t shake. Plus they’re empty inside, it’s all a show. I still struggle with understanding how a person can turn into that & live in a loop forever with it. What a waste of a life. If only they could break free & have a healthy relationship. They’re weak but we can’t fix them. They’re in a living hell that tries to suck people in. Narcissistic infidelity differs from "normal cheating", because a narcissist feels no shame or remorse for what they've committed! In fact, they convince themselves it's your fault, and actually lead the new partner to believe they're a victim of you. A narcissist will talk about marriage and having kids with you, while sleeping with another person. They'll give you the silent treatment and punish you, trying to make you feel bad for their own bad behavior. Survivors often wonder "why wasn't I good enough?" or "why is the new partner better than me?" because the narcissist will shamelessly wave this person in your face and parade the new target around on social media. Every second you spend comparing yourself to this person will erode your self-worth and fill you with feelings of inadequacy and rejection. How did they replace you so quickly, immediately making all the same promises to another person? The answer is simple: Cluster-B disorders all stem from the inability to attach. They never attached to you, which is why they try to intensely manufacture all the normal feelings of love and bonding, and it's also why they are able to detach and do the same thing to someone else in one day. Because they never successfully attached to you, despite all of their sweeping words. Sociopaths and narcissists are incapable of attaching to other human beings, so they hone all of these other skills like seduction, flattery, mirroring-all in an attempt to mimic what they see other people doing: loving each other. The problem is, they see "love" as receiving constant attention and adoration. This is what they give to you, and this is what they want to receive in return. The NY Times describes it this way. "Narcissistic alexithymia: The inability to understand or describe the emotions in the self. Unable to know themselves, sufferers are unable to understand, relate or attach to others. To prove their own existence, they hunger for endless attention from outside." Narcissistic "supply" is really just a distraction from this condition. When you fail to relieve this (because no external factor can), you are punished and replaced. No matter how caring and kind you were, they still don't feel good, and their disorder convinces them that a new partner will be the magical fix to everything. This is when you get "split" as the crazy bad person so they can justify their sudden change of heart. Even though they blame you, I hope you can see that this process has literally nothing to do with you. You can follow their new relationship, hope it fails, analyze yourself, analyze them, try to be more perfect, prove yourself, figure out whose fault it was, etc. All you're doing is hurting yourself. Turn your focus from external to internal. What do you feel? Inadequacy? Shame? Rejection? Betrayal? These are your feelings, and those are what matter. You need to work with these feelings, understand them, and learn to offer yourself the comfort and love needed to heal them. Otherwise you're just left with an unresolved mess of pain from an impossible situation, and a frightened heart that believes it's at fault. Left untended, it'll eventually just fade into a numb obscurity. Work with this pain, understand it, talk with it, communicate with your body. This is the most important thing you can do. Every time you're tempted to check on them, ask yourself what you're feeling. A void? Emptiness? Loneliness? Resentment? Numbness? These issues cannot be resolved through searching externally. Yes, they were created by an external factor, but it's your wound now, whether you want it or not. You are the only person who can decide to nurture these wounds and build a loving relationship with your emotions. My ex narcissist was constantly cheating on me and he gave me syphilis that took 3 weeks of antibiotics to get rid of and he did say once that he had an STD and that I gave it to him but because I was high when he told me I forgot about it and didn't get tested... He always accused me of cheating and then one day I did cheat and used a condom and left the wrapper on the floor in my room for him to find... I figured if I was getting accused of it I might as well do it and I used protection and when he found it I said "at least you know I am safe as I am using protection" He on the other hand wasn't using protection and I got syphilis and got blamed for it... The more he accused me of cheating the more I knew he was... when I was living with him he took off one night when I was asleep and cheated on me and lied about where he was... A few months later I caught him In that lie as I have a really good memory about things like that which he used to hate because he couldn't get away with anything as I would remember what happened that day and what he said and did... I am one person who he couldn't get around... In the end I left the cheating prick after he tried hitting me with a massive wrench...

Being with my ex narc for the past 6 yrs. made me observe this very pattern. I think they wanted to feel very important in a way that is disturbing. Instead of building trust with their intimate partners, they destroy the trust that they built with you (in that case lying when they tried to put you in their pedestal). Once they have a committed partner, they can’t stand being loved authentically by one person. Instead they go on and prey on other women that is susceptible to their love bombing. My ex narc was a compulsive pursuer in a relationship. He would go back and forth to the women he were involved before or try to meet women in complicated situation so that going public isn’t an option while having you as their main supply. In the end they destroy the very person that loved them. They are like toddlers testing your love for them. Showing and telling them you love them isn’t enough, they will cheat on your face to make you feel inadequate even if you are more than they deserve. They want to test your love for them so they keep hurting you and when you have enough of their abuse, you leave. Then they tell you, ‘you never loved me because you abandon me’. Well in fact it’s their actions and narcissistic behavior that made you leave or in other cases they discard you and will give silly reasons of the discard. Mine would use, ‘she’s crazy’, ‘she’s a nega-star’, ‘she insults me’, ‘she cheated on me’ et al. So with this pattern of infidelities and emotional abuse (who knows what else) it’s better to walk away. I did walk away and is now rebuilding my life with our daughter. We are struggling financially because I’m not earning enough to provide for my daughter but now we get to laugh and bring with us sunshine every day. No lies, no abuse and no fake love. We only live once, forgive yourself and move forward but never forget the lesson that narc abuse taught you. That is to respect yourself to walk away from what’s hurting and destroying you. That you deserve a life of solitude, happiness and love. It's good to have friends that can be honest with you. It's even better that you were able to see the truth. I didn't filly believe it, even though I had suspected she was cheating. I came home from work early and caught her in the act. She blamed me for her infidelity. I'm grateful it happened. That was the last straw. I threw her out. @@lc4972 Hate to say it, but yes it was most likely him. It's twisted (like a lot of things they do) but they do it for a number of reasons actually. First it helps them clear their concious by telling themselves that they told you (it's up to you to figure it out as far as they are concerned). They also get pleasure from seeing and hearing your reactions to it without it coming back onto them. They also use the information they get from your reaction to judge how you would handle things if in the future you were to catch him directly. And on top of all that, they simply just enjoy fooling you. They are laughing to themselves that you can't figure it out. They don't just tell stories of cheating either. They do this about anything they know you would not approve of like carelessly spending money and any other behaviors that would be a no go in your relationship. If your ex was full of these kinds of stories about other people you might ask yourself just how is it exactly that he was always in the know about all these juicy details about other people's lives especially since these are the types of things people usually try to keep hidden. Why would so many people confide in him? I don't know if Danish has any videos about this, but do a youtube search because there are some really good videos about the stories of narcs who are actually telling on themselves that are very interesting and insightful.

As unfortunate as this was to have happened to me, I am very grateful God protected me. No pregnancy and no marriage, out in under a year. I truly went off my intuition and it led me out of evil and into the light of God. I tell God yes I still love this person despite what they have done to me, but please protect me from them and give me the strength I need when I am weak. I say this prayer just about everyday. I used to feel shame for loving someone so horrible but now I feel okay. The strength of my love is strong because I was able to love a monster. There are many different signs. These include spending time on phone that was not spent previously, withholding sex from you, withdrawing in communication with you, agitation or anger over Petty stuff or making up situations to get angry or agitated over, lying, being secretive in any way, randomly spending more time caring for and pampering oneself such as putting on makeup or wearing cologne or coloring hair etc. Any type of changed behavior that is not aimed at pleasing or benefiting your relationship. With all of that though, follow your gut. your gut is telling you that something isn't right and it's telling you that this could or is happening, therefore listen to it. Just Free yourself from all of it! Run and don't look back. Go 100% no contact. The mental and emotional abuse is not okay at all! Do not bring anything up to her. Don't try to rationalize or have a conversation about anything. Don't let her know that you know she's in narcissist. All of that can cause a narcissistic rage. If you have not yet witnessed one of those just trust me that you don't want to! A narcissistic rage is beyond any rage I have ever seen or witnessed in my entire life. I am an army combat veteran and served front lines for a year and afghanistan. I have abuse going back from as long as I can remember, the first time in my personal memory is 2 years old. With everything I have been involved in, and my rape, other sexual abuse, their physical abuse, etc in narcissistic rage is by far the worst! If you need to contact your local police department and start a new contact order. No one can protect you like you can! free yourself from it all and move forward in your life. The minute you run and go no contact is the minute your life begins again. If need be seek out professional help. Therapy is the best thing I did for myself. The best gift I gave to me! The abuse is so deep and overwhelming that having a professional guide you through the steps of the healing process is extremely beneficial! Just remember, there is great strength in asking for help. There is great lack and strength or no strength at all in putting on a mask and hiding behind the opinions of society and pretending that you are okay! @@alimccreery755 I resorted to something I've never done before, when his phone wasn't hooked to his umbilical cord I looked at it. I found out all kinds of lies. At first I didn't accuse him I would ask round about questions to see if he'd be honest and when he would lie I threw what I found up in his face. They do get angry because you've busted them. I found women's phone numbers and I'd call them, they proved my suspicion accurate . Another way was driving by and parking where he couldn't see me on places he use to paint, because he was cheating social security and getting paid under the table. I saw things that broke my heart. Of course he said I was over reacting. Seeing him kiss on some woman was over reacting I guess. SMH. I finally went and stayed no contact.

I never met his so called girlfriends/former colleagues, but he was in hospital at one point, and during that time, I ran into 2 (!) of them. None of them had ever heard of me. I am just learning about narcissism, I see the typical signs on my husband of many years, I am working on ending our marriage Early on when our daughter was a toddler I got an STD, he totally denied he had done anything wrong, he kept saying maybe j was misdiagnosed, and other things that did not make sense, I was a virgin when I met him, he was the first and only man I had been with, so he knew better not to accuse me. I was devastated, fortunately I was treated and him too with antibiotics. He never took responsibility or confessed what he did. He is a covert narcissist that presented himself as a true Mr. Nice Guy, that's how everyone else sees him. He is not the violent or argumentative type, which is even more misleading, but he has cheated, gas lighted, lied a ruined our finances. I can see now that he is so dysfunctional and immature but hides under a fake perfect facade.

Number 1 is so spot on! LOL. When I dumped the Narc we had a conversation about whatever happened behind my back was no longer my problem. He denied it but at that point I knew he had most likely crossed lines. Refusing to accept the aging is HILARIOUS! My ex started dying his hair for first time ever when I had figured him out that he is a narcissist. I was heavily pregnant and he wouldn't touch me throughout the pregnancy then after he wanted it everyday and I was so suspicious. He said it was all in my head and that he wasn't doing anything. My mother is a narcissist but she also has an aversion to talking about sex, even to the point that she never had the healthy discussions about it with her own children. My parents divorced when I was 10 and to my knowledge, she has had only 1 date since then (I am 50 now). Sex was a big issue in my parent's divorce, but I think it was more that she didn't want it and he did. So I doubt she cheated. However, she is annoyingly vain. She used to boast about how much prettier and younger looking she was than other people her age. She last tried it when talking about an family friend who was dying of cancer. Essentially, it boiled down to this: Mom: Mr. X is 2 months younger than me, but don't you think I look years younger than him? Me: Mom, nobody is going to mistake you for my sister, if that's what you're wondering. She didn't talk to me for a few hours after that and then she never talked about Mr. X again. Poor Mr. X passed away a few months later and she couldn't be bothered to go to his funeral.

It also always surprised me the type of person he cheated on me with. They were never the same "type" in looks or interests etc. They ranged from 20 years older than him, to women that were almost 20 years younger than him. Short, taller, thin, bigger, race was never a factor. What I did notice, was that he chose women that were either " married, unavailable in some sense, or fractured in a way as personal life, sexual issues, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, one person I suspected was even someone who self mutilated. He clearly was a predator. He even told me once" I am usually going after Unavailable women". he said he knew that. These are women who for one reason or another were easy targets, lonely, couldn't leave a marriage, felt like they were past their prime, or lacked self esteem. And I can say that because I am one in the list above. Whenever he was cheating, the texting would drop from off and on most of the day, to randomly through the day or here and there every few days. He would stop visiting me, he wouldn't be consumed with sex talk or wanting to meet somewhere for it. And there was always supply around him and he was fuller in himself than normal, and would get mad if you even suggested he was cheating.

My experience? Yes...I was called the abuser. I was called out for doing the cheating and being the liar. I FINALLY snapped and lost it on him (wrong move but NOBODY is that strong and everyone has their breaking point) and told him how much I could NOT take another second of his BS! FOR 21 YEARS he through in my face things I did 20 years ago when I was still young (51) and blamed for literally EVERYTHING. The twisting, the omitting, playing the victim, never wrong, wants me held accountable but has no accountability for his own deplorable actions, demands apologies yet offers none only blanket statements, says he loves me but in the same breath puts me down for all he has sacrificed for 22 years. My ex husband had the audacity to cheat on me with my own friend. Like you rightly said he acted all disgusted and mortified about the whole concept of cheating when in contrary it was his own reality. Also, he kept commenting how these women he was cheating on me with didn't look good at all, so he could throw me off guard and keep me far from suspicion. If Narcissists had employed all their time, analysis and efforts in studying and deceiving their victims on something else, the world would have been such a better place!

I agree. Everything you explained had happened to me. Started with a f/b orbiter asking her out on messenger. Someone we knew from high school. He knew we were together. He didn't care. He played the empathy card trying to reel her in. It worked. She was still sleeping w/me while going out w/him. All unbeknownst to me. She straight ghosted me when we had made plans over 4th of July and later that month. I figured it out. I texted her & told her I was onto her game. She called me & admitted she has been dating this piece of shit for a couple of weeks, but wanted to stay "best friends like we always were since 5th grade." I was appalled & told her "that's the sacrifice you're going to have to make." No way to the friends gig and I told her we will never see each other again. 80 days N/C & it's been absolute radio silence since. I am pretty sure she's living with this self proclaimed empath & posting them all over f/b partying & dinners, ballgames. Some empath, didn't give a shit @ my situation. His problem now, and he has no idea what he is in for. As soon as the limerence is over, she'll be moving on to the next supplier. (Sorry such a long post) Such a terrible thing to do to someone that treated you with nothing but love & respect. Sickening to say the least.

They begin changing their style in clothing, as well as different colors from their normal palette. They begin using different words or phrases out of the blue. The want to vacation elsewhere, and perhaps without you. They now have new (and younger) friends. In other words, they change themselves to fit the mold of the targeted new supply. This video was very enlightening Danish. These things resonate with me, especially the part about cancelling at the last minute. I had assumed it was a way to get back at me for some unseen thing he assumed I did, but listening to you it made since, of course most of it was to go to another supply. It was like a light turned on and I just remember asking once were we still going to go to lunch..and I remember him saying hold on we'll see. I remember how arrogant and smug he was, so he probably was weighing his options then. The more I watch, the more I can see everything play out week by week from my experience with him. It's scary how accurate this information is. And yes, right at the beginning I stated how I didn't like cheaters and liars, and he just went overboard about he didn't either and how his ex's had did that to him, just like you said. He honestly must be the most arrogant person I know to play this game so well with so many. I have walked away from him and am doing pretty good so far. Your videos are helping me tremendously, thank you.

Narc accused me of cheating, when I would go to my mother's to help her; the Narc never helped her or never went with me. My neighbor is an old man and I am a straight dude, so I found that odd. Anyway, I took the Narc's accusation as a confession that she was cheating on me; cuz that's how a Narc confesses. I divorced her. I am much happier without the stress of a Narc.

Mine said that as well. I fell for it. He was cheating a good bit of the following 13 years. I only found out after we married 8.5 years later. Devastated me. To me 2 years to find my footing again. Divorced him. Am very careful who I let in my life now.

My ex (10 days) always force fed me with stories about his exes. In detail. He has had very stormy breakups, but he left them because of some or other thing they did wrong, or what they said. Two who sent him away, must have seen through him. He also wrote lovely poems and songs for me, which made me feel so special, only to find out this is what he did with others as well. He ‘didn’t want to hurt me’ so he didn’t tell me. I always had to hear how just about every woman fancied him, are into him. It hurt. This was a form of cheating, and a glimpse into how our relationship would end, and it did. I’m still ruminating and upset at times, but I know the next woman will experience the same! He has blocked me on facebook, but not on Instagram and WhatsApp. I’m waiting for the hoovering to happen. NO MORE! I have become wiser after these videos👍🏼🌼

This video describes my abusive narcissistic marriage to a tee. After stone cold abandoning me without any explanation, he tried to hoover me after the devastating divorce finalized. But I found out about his philandering ways after an ex-gf of his went batshit crazy and galvanized all the women he cheated on and exposed him in ways that is tabloid-worthy. It was from his harem of women that I found out the disgusting smear campaign he did on me, his lies about me were all a projection of his selfish narcissistic character. But karma avenged for me without me ever being vindictive nor spiteful. My ex narcissist kept a "trophy" book of pictures of almost 300 women he had had sex with. Most were half naked in the pictures or laying in bed. I suppose I'm in it too now that he's finished with me. He would take it out and show it to people. He's 87 years old now and I know he has not changed.
