Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a complex mental health condition that affects how people view themselves and relate to others. People with NPD have an exaggerated sense of self-importance and an excessive need for admiration and attention. They may also lack empathy and have difficulty understanding or caring about the feelings of others. NPD can cause significant social and occupational impairment and often has complications with other psychiatric and substance use disorders.
NPD is a chronic condition that can't be self-diagnosed and requires a professional diagnosis. There is no known cure, but medical professionals can manage the condition to improve symptoms through talk therapy.
Estimates of the percentage of the US population with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) range from 0.5% to 5%, with some sources suggesting it's closer to 1% or 2%. However, it's difficult to get an accurate estimate because many people hide narcissistic behaviors or beliefs, which is known as "covert narcissism"

The church I was going to the head pastor had to step down last year because he sounded just like him and he wanted to control everything so no one would his other side. The sad part is there was another church that he came from and that church gave him a highly recommended for pastor in church I was in. A retired pastor did not support him because the Lord said he is not the one but the church still voted him in.
