Loved this episode, lovely to ‘meet’ Kath’s family. Thanks for capturing your visit to Caldy Island. I found it interesting because Ive discovered that my husband’s great-great grandfather was a lighthouse keeper on Caldy at the time of the 1911 census. He had been born in Pembrokeshire, but you can mostly track the different lighthouse stations he was posted to by where his children were born. Most of his children were born in Alderney, Channel Islands, but he was also posted to Anglesey, where one of his sons stayed on, and where my husband and I grew up.

Such a beautiful place, the Welsh country side is so idlic, we got to meet Kath’s family as well. The part where your whistled with the grass brought back childhood memories watching Skippy, 🦘🦘🦘interesting to actually see someone do it after all these years. 👩🦳👩🦰😺🐱

according to my other half I got far too excited at the start of the video shouting at the tellybox I recognise that, I'm sure it's Tenby! I was probably 10 when I last went there with my parents. I also think my love of the water and boats started in that little harbour when they bought me a little inflatable boat to play about in! Happy Memories!

Great video, beautiful scenery and so tranquil too. You both are so relaxed and enjoying making this recording, it's one the nicest ones that you've covered. Fabulous.

The safety briefing made me chuckle. What is the point of telling non-boaty people that the life jackets are kept in the folksal! Lovely island. I never got to Tenby but used to be fairly close when I raced in Anglesey.

It sounds like you have had a lovely time there ladies! As far as I recall, Caldey Island was one of my unexplored places I've never done for a long time but I suppose it's a good long way away from your homes! Let's say Coast to Coast! Can you speak Welsh? I'm sure this will bring back a few memories. Love Neil xxx

Tenby is lovely. We go there every year if we can. Caldey is a lovely place to wander around as well. Nope, can't speak welsh. I tried and tried at school but it just didn't take. That's why I had to move to England....

No, quite deliberately. I'd been doing some work in the Texaco refinery in Pembroke (and staying in Penally). We'd driven down, but when I'd finished my bit, I had to get back to the office in London, whereas my boss was staying on for a few more days. He dropped me off at Tenby station, so I could get a train back in the right direction.

I am terribly sorry to inform you, that you can NOT become mermaids. Though you'd most likely become quite admirable maidens of the sea the canals would be bleak and empty without you. So sorry, no fishtails for you... 😁
