Minato's respectful way when talking to Orochimaru has to do with age, Orochimaru is from the same generation as Jiraiya (Minato's teacher)

“Mister” is used in English dubs as a substitute for “San” in Japanese dubs. Minato was not putting any extra respect on orochimaru there. He would have called tsunade or jiraiya either “sensei” or “sama” but he chose to call orochimaru “San”. He was diminishing his status not holding him up

@@mookiestewart3776 You make a mistake in interpretation, you don't have to interpret it in the American style but in the Japanese; "san" is sir because he is an older person with whom he has no direct relationship, "san" for older people and "kun" for minors. "sempai" is someone with whom you have a relationship but that person has greater experience than yours (kakashi sempai) is the way Yamato calls Kakashi; and "sensei" is obviously when "he is or was his teacher or the ninja is still an active teacher". From all that explanation, the only relationship between Minato and Orochimaru is only one of respect towards an older person

If Madara was able to rescind the contract for his reanimation justu why was Tobirama not able to even though he was moving and flexing his chakra . Tobirama made it up so it made no sense how Madara knows it but Tobirama seemingly doesn’t. 11:56 also this makes no sense because Or Tobirama forgot that Orochimaru’s edo is better than Tobirama’s edo tensei & since orochimaru absorbed kabuto’s knowledge he knows the perfected reanimation jutsu so they should be at Full power.

@@DatsLegitnessit could be explained with the fact that madara rescinded the contract only after edo tensei was released by kabuto which gave him full control of his movements. Tobirama might have been aware of the hand signs he needed to do but just wasn’t able to because orochimaru (as was shown) was suppressing their movements. and i think what was implied by orochimaru when he said that hashirama could undo the jutsu was that hashirama could literally just resist and overpower it without even needing to rescind it. he’a just that goated.

Minato was NOT putting respect on orochimaru when the dub had him call him “mister”. That’s a stand in word for “orochimaru-San” , anime has been using “mister” for “San” for AGES and it’s annoying as fuck. San is the most basic neutral suffix you can use for someone in the Japanese language. Orochimaru is 15 years minatos senior and one of the three sannin. Everyone else calls jiraiya and tsunade “sama” as their prefix meaning lord or master. Minato using “San” is almost like him talking down to orochimaru in his own subtle way since Minato is the one that beat out orochimaru for the title of fourth hokage. Minato is a very nice person but he does not respect orochimaru. In a round about VERY JAPANESE way not only was he not respecting orochimaru, he was talking down to him.
