I love Nas' delivery in this track. We can all relate to a breakup and essentially, that's all it is-a breakup song. But it's less sad and more empowering. Like, 'hey shit happens and sometimes things dont work out but it's okay because we had good times, i regret nothing, and life goes on.' Nas is king of nostalgic rap.

Celebrity break ups typically have no effect on me but I gotta admit, this one hit a little different because I've always had that feeling that they really were in love, and beneath all the pain and abuse they put one another through, deep down they still are... They probably just didn't have the maturity at the time to make it work. Great song. Great album. A classic in my eyes.

I think she still love him too. Probably in the way that she wish they would have worked out and wrk'd it out. Bcuz she still speaks bad abt him. I've heard it said Hate isn't the opposite of Love, Indifference is. If she says has energy to spew hate abt him it mean there's still love there. She's remarried with another kid now, but I saw a interview, she talked abt him, I thought she sounded bitter. It sucks Bcuz you hope for the best for Good ppl, including yourself, but in life unfortunately sumtimes thing's don't wrk out that way

Been famous for 20+ years, etc. One would imagine that he has access to women of all ethnicities, educational levels, and income brackets. Hasn't had the best of luck (at least publically) with women. What hope is there out here in these streets for the average 9 to 5 dude?
