That would be great…perhaps NASCAR should also make exhibition races special by giving the teams unrestricted horsepower and even removing the gear rule (which limits RPM) for those races specifically…

my proposal; > The Clash becomes a rotational race for local tracks measure .5 Miles or greater. > All Star race becomes a rotational race between Darlington, Martinsville, Milwaukee, and North Wilkesboro. The older tracks need to restore their prestige, and so does the ASR. Mutually beneficial. >Add a post-season INTERNATIONAL race date. Bring the top 18 drivers, invite 10 current local competitors, and like 4 local legends. This would give an avenue for international nascar series drivers to build a rapport with americans, and opens more doors for international drivers to come to Cup

@hamlinfanatic11 obv I was being broad with the idea. To actually make it work there'd have to be financial incentive for the teams to go. Otherwise it'd be pointless besides "watch the cup series guys beat up on some local kids still learning, and some old guys" most of the time.

Make the Clash Pole and Race winners only and keep doing the short track revivals in Late Models. Orr make the Clash a then vs now Late Model race with HOF retired drivers eligible to race pole winners. Make the All Star Race the top 20 drivers in points during the regular season at that time and run it at Charlotte at night. NWB, Rockingham, and Joliet need to become points races.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion but … do we REALLY need the clash at this point? Just seems kind of pointless now and doesn’t really get you hyped up for the long season ahead. Rather have the extra week of the offseason.

Wilksboro gets points race. Charlotte gets the all star. and bowman gray instead of being a nascar race, is a cool off season late model race with current stars and a mix of the best bowman gray racers and old legends. Clash just goes back to Daytona or whatever, I don’t think anyone would really care sadly ahaha.

Both races should rotate and not ride on the coattails of another race. Have it rotate to markets that don’t have a top 3 series race date. Ex. Clash at Sebring and ASR at Road Atlanta.

The clash should go back to Daytona and be a 25 lap shootout with last season’s pole winners. This will add to speed weeks again. The all-star race I think needs to go. Just make it an off week and maybe to a mini speed week for the Coke 600

Scrap the All-Star race (give Wilkesboro their much needed points race), make The Clash the new All-Star race, to bring back Speedweeks...and have the drivers on stage again, to draw starting spots.

I am biased as its my home track but i also want speedweeks again go back to daytona for the clash (whether you hold it the week before the 500 or week before the superbowl idk) and you make the all star race a rotating group of short tracks like South Boston (Basically the Field of Dreams but NASCAR edition)

Put the Clash at Homsted-Miami, have the Clash Field be the Playoff Drivers of the Previous Season, plus any Cup Champions that didn't make the Playoffs. And bring back the Position Drawing Show with Kenny Wallace & Dale Jr as Hosts. Because you got Amazon & TNT joining, and those two want as much content as possible.

My proposal is Clash at Daytona and All Star at Charlotte with a points race at North Wilkesboro. I always loved the potential of someone sweeping the Shootout, Their Duel, then the 500 which is meaningless with it not at Daytona. It worked for so long I don't think the last couple years being bad should kill it. Also we gotta make speedweeks cool. All Star at Charlotte is pretty self explanatory the racing is actually good there now. Even during the down years of the All Star Race at Charlotte the open was great to watch. With having a points race at North Wilkesboro like I proposed we already have the homage to grassroots there and you won't really need Bowman Gray although I think a Truck or Xfinity race there would be fun. Maybe not good but fun. I also think they should drastically improve the purse money for each race to make a non points race worth it to the teams. If Nascar could waste 50 million on the Chicago Street Course they can slap another 0 to the payout for these.

As a young fan myself I want me to say yes they should definitely return to the old ways that those events are like I'm a Nascar fan who still wants to see North wilkesboro in the schedule but instead being an exhibition race being a normal race but know why because the next gen sucks why not move it back to Daytona that way we can save the teams already can be prepared for the Daytona 500 100 and not run for miles to get into like a big menu know we are staying at Daytona for the speedweeks that is just my idea by the way

Put the clash back at Daytona, make it 20 or 30 laps, one segment, caution laps don't count. Put it after the finish of the ARCA race to give the fans at the track their money's worth. Bring back Speedweeks, make it a big event again, throw in some extra practice sessions and maybe consider bringing in something else for an extra race that week like the short-lived UNOH Battle at the Beach. Make Daytona special again. All star race: rotate among non-cup-series tracks, no track gets it twice within 10 years, put the cup cars at historic tracks like Hickory, Salem, Oswego, Thompson, Five Flags, Wisconsin International, Slinger, Thunder Road, throw Irwindale in there if by some miracle the track survives. NASCAR has been neglecting the grassroots short tracks for far too long, throw them a bone. Heck, maybe do something off the wall one year and throw them at a dirt track, or a new road course (Sebring is BEGGING for it), or an international track like the Lausitzring or Motegi. ...needless to say, fix the short track package, too.

@ We’d need to limit the drivers from all of the series to, I think, no more than five. It would be similar to the old IROC races. It's not the tracks that suck though it's the cars. A track shouldn't be shut down just because the cars aren't right for it. They just need to make adjustments
