Gravity was not Rusty's friend in 1993, which led to the introduction of the roof flaps to help _attempt_ to keep cars on all four wheels when they go backwards. Doesn't always work, though, as Chris Buescher's 2016 flip never had said flaps deploy at all.

Roof flaps would never have made a difference in Buescher's flip anyways, they don't prevent weight shifts

Even Darrel waltrip made this mistake on air when he was like"i don't see them roof flaps deploy" meanwhile no air effects made him flip just contact and momentum lol

Man I have gained so much respect for NASCAR drivers, As a black kid growing up in Boston Massachusetts I didn't really pay much attention I mean I new Richard petty and guys like A.J Foyt Penske but not into it. Now as a retired soldier I can say I'd rather be back fighting in Iraq than do what these men do. Drive a car at 200 mph is crazy.

Honestly that Watkins Glen crash with the 6 and 00 was brutal in so many ways beyond just the flip. The 6 took four hits really.

From an Aussie, I've never followed NASCAR, but is it just me, or is NASCAR rigged? I mean... there's so many crashes, they seem intentional, & the crowd kinda expects them & wants them lol. What say you Americans? Edit: Oh, and I don't hate it, it just seems to be kind of a different branch of motor racing 🙂🇦🇺🇺🇲
