Hamlin had been one of the most booed drivers since 2007 and yes Kyle Bush started getting booed in 2008 right up until 2022, but as soon as he made the switch to RCR in 2023 he starting getting cheered again, traditional NASCAR fans cheer Chevrolet drivers, boo Toyota drivers and just don't care about Ford drivers, yes there are some exceptions, but this rule is mostly true if you pay attention, theres a major divide between the fans that actually attend the races and the online NASCAR community, traditional NASCAR have manufacturer loyalty

But then again, NASCAR fans aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed for the most part.

@kyleraymer5581 as a massive Ross fan I've never been annoyed by him yet theres always been something about Hamlin that just irritates me, I think he's just stuck up and thinks he's better than everyone yet always comes up short, it's like manufacturered ego that's just a front, yet Ross just feels more real and down to earth, I like drivers that talk less and do their talking on the track, which is the opposite of Hamlin, all that gut does is talk, yea he's a good driver, but he's not a great driver, way too big of an ego for a guy that's never won a championship after 19 years

@@mathewhosier9739 Never really saw him as stuck up at all. I think he says it like it is and he races by an old school code. @kyleraymer55815 ай бұрын
As an Elliott fan it annoyed me when he did that, but gained some respect from him with how he reacted when he got paid back. He understood the code and moved on. That said he got boo's and cheers like many other drivers, but it wasn't really till after he formed his new race team that he has gotten the amount of hate he has in recent years. And it makes sense. He hired a driver who was already pretty disliked in Nascar. I think those boos added on to Denny.

Yet everyone boo’s him like he’s a prototypical heel from the WWE. Boo the bad guy because he’s doing bad guy things. You know who needs bad guys? Media. You know who needs Media? NASCAR. What does NASCAR get with media coverage, good or bad? Viewership. It’s all needed, so before booing the guy, you should appreciate his sacrifice to making Nascar more exciting.

When the accident happened it didn't look any different than any other crash we have seen in the past. Even the TV broadcast didn't realize something was out of the norm until after he celebrated. All Denny knew was a typical Daytona crash had occurred and he won. He like many drivers in the past celebrated. I think if he had known then he wouldn't have celebrated, but I think it's unfair to blame him for doing what every other driver has done just because he caught the rare incident. Keep in mind, Dale Earnhardt's own teammate Celebrated and even cheered in Victory lane the day he died. Crashes happen every race. Drivers tend to think positive and assume the best.
