Actually due to the law of inverse mass momentum, the slower the impact is means the more forceful and violent it will be be. So it's actually safer to go faster so you can shed that potential kinetic energy over a longer period of time instead of just all at once.

i respectfully disagree that their to slow ryan newman taken to the hospital at daytona denny hamlin after joy lagano put him in the wall out for the season I think I proved my point safer barrior closed helmets neck brace head stablizer fire suits and a self activiated feature to put out a fire in the car can only due so much.
