Her voice is like the finest of wines, as she ages her vocal performance, framed by her impeccable arrangements, get better and better. So , so underrated. She should have a shelf full of Grammy awards but they have never recognized her. It matters not because she is ours, yesterday, today & what is to come.

I’ve been a fan of Natalie Merchant, for along time. I’m pretty sure this is St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, in Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C. The Piano Player is the church’s music director. His name escapes me. I remember when the Pipe Organ was installed, back in the late 90’s. My company did the AC and Humidity Control Equipment installation to support the Organ. I did the start-up, service and maintenance on the equipment. I always though the Engineering was wrong and the cooling coil should have had split controls put on it. The Floor is what I question, the Church had a hydronic heated Stone Floor.

Been a Natalie fan since In My Tribe, 10,000 Maniacs. The only thing more moving than her voice was the child in the red sweatshirt, lying on i assume his mother's lap, who popped up to hug her when she started crying. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song, and that beautiful connection.

Here's my point referencing your comment: OBVIOUSLY her voice has changed... as I'm sure your voice, looks, memory, etc. won't be the same over the course of 30 years either. Therefore, I see no use in your original comment. Hopefully you can enjoy the music or simply move on. Thanks.
