Hi there, it’s great to have you talking about straddle. I just wonder, in your preference, which straddle do you think is better for one a handstand??? Hope you see this comment.. 🙏🙏

If you have the mobiltiy, the wide straddle is a lot easier I find.

In your opinion: how important is it to have a good straddle before working on one arm stuff. Doe you need to be very flexible first or you can you work on flexibility as you train for one arm?

Hi, it is always useful to have good flexibiltiy. If you have limited motion in your hips you will need to practice one arm handstands in a V shape or straight line handstand. I would start practicing those shapes and work on flexibility along the way.

Before, sorry about my ENG. I have a two Q 1. Would the waist be arched inevitablely when taking a straddle with the hip piked? 2. Is the third motion non-piked one? If so, is the Side split flexibility most important in order to do the third handstand form? thank you for upload!

Hello Rahe, to answer your first question: in the straddle with a slight pike, most people will have an arch in their waist/lower back. If you want to do the version without an arch in the lower back like in the third option, you need to have a very good side split. - Whether you arch your lower back is a question of style and preference. - Your English is good :)

How to maintain flat lower back for that? Mine is arched :( is it because my pike flexibility/hamstring is bad? ( i dont do pancake strech before) but i can do split... Should i do pancakes strech fo it?

It is normal to have a slight arch in the lower back if you are attempting the full straddle not the star shape. The arc should be even from the shoulder until the tailbone. If you find yourself arching too much, draw the stomach in towards the spine and tuck the hips.

tips for pelvic twist or that bum thing

It's like bringing the hipbones closer to your ribs. You tilt the whole pelvis by pulling your stomach muscles further in an imagine to straighten the lower back.
