I didn't know you have a pike press tutorial! So glad I found this. Btw, I'm 10 months into my handstand journey and can now kickup into a freestanding handstand and hold it for about 20-30 secs! Your tutorial videos were extremely helpful! Thanks to you! I remember just watching them back in May, processing all the information and trying to apply it during practice---and failing, falling and struggling countless times. But I kept at it and never quit. Hah I'm now gonna try and learn press to handstand. Thanks Natalie

You didn't mention the third option - shoulders closed with a forward lean. This one requires a lot of strength, but it's a realistic option for people who don't have the back, shoulder or hamstring flexibility to do the positions you've shown.

Mhh, I dont think that it is essential, focus more on what your upper body is doing and on finding the correct position.

@@NatalieReckert I only hold 10 second and only kick up to handstand, maybe my shoulder is not good, however I still practice every day. Because I really love handstand, it was so much fun. I can do press armstand,. Straddle armstand, hollow back armstand..... So handstand is so bad.
