Funny, I remember Russo complaining to me at Pipe once that I was almost always in his shots during one session. It was because I was shooting Lopez for Bill Delaney's film SURFERS and using a 10mm lense. The man who was ALWAYS deepest at Pipe in that era was Don King, and I'll guarantee you nobody ever hit us...

Don King, Vince Cavataio. Chris Van Lennep, Aaron Chang, Scott Aichner, Les Walker, Prickett, Russo....Now its easier to just sit on the channel and shoot long lens and get 2000 photos

There's plenty of gnarly guys not being talked about here who will hang with anyone out there especially some Hawaiian bruddahs I know. Vince Cavataio legend too swimming Pipe with film cameras before both of you puppy dogs were born. :)
