That’s what I never got. Kap was actually sitting down for the national anthem before all this. It was Boyer who had a talk with Kap about taking a knee as a compromise. Kap did that because he didn’t want to make it seem like he was disrespecting the military. Now the right wing crazies have highjacked that kneeling and made it out to be disrespectful to the military and this country which is complete nonsense.

All them vets behind him,,imagine would. A flag truly heal your feelings,,if they all were in caskets coming from a war,,they was killed in,,,I think if it had a miracle effect,,an prevented the war,in the first place,,an no one was injure or hurt,,came back alive ,,then I'm all for it!!

What did he think he had the right to tell Colin how to protest. Ridiculously pathetic.
@marysmith50034 жыл бұрын
The people who protest the protest don't want to hear it. I disagree that we should recognize the inevitability of racism, and I honor Colin Kapernick for using his visibility as a celebrity to shine a light, to call it out and to say we must do better.

He disagrees with him that police brutality needs to stop?

Though I don’t agree with the kneeling I can at least understand it’s out of respect.

Both sides of this issue have a very distorted and baseless view of Nate Boyer. Most people don't know his name, that he was a green beret, and that he's very patriotic. The truth is much different than what I've heard from people on either side of this... and it's not even necessary. People don't care about facts or content anymore. If something they hear from someone else's mouth serves their purpose, they'll repeat it without hesitation. Knowing anything beyond one's agenda doesn't matter anymore and that is scary. It's not useful for people trying to make a change like Kaepernick or for people who see something wrong with a form of protest they find disrespectful, for that matter. It is useful for people or organizations with the intent to deceive others and undermine their trust for personal gain.

Great perspective. Can we go back to respecting each others viewpoints and listening instead of racing to make it all about us?
