I've listened to all 176 episodes (some multiple times) Nate telling Aaron "he could do a cannonball to start us off" might be the line that has made me laugh the hardest, The visual of Dusty and Nate on a starter block and Bates holding his stopwatch on side of pool with Aaron doing a cannonball is absolutely gold!! Episode was HOT!

Nate, you are on fire today. I have family members and friends who deal with crippling anxiety. Asking them to care about a million years down the road is crushing when they barely have the strength to deal with today. The millennial generation is awesome and I am mother of two who fit that category but dealing with the far distant future and insurmountable problems is killing them. My doctor told me we are engineered to care for our village and not the world. Let's start with taking care of our village.

My wife and I took a trip to Scotland and Ireland this past spring and visited loch Ness. Taking a tour boat onto the lake, we were able to watch the boat scan the lake with radar sensors in real time. A few years back they scanned an object in the middle of the lake around 30 meters (16.4 fathoms) long. It attracted global news. Shoutout to Bop-It for keeping the convo around Nessy goin!

I was faster at 8 yrs old. I quit immediately. Dusty, be a cornhole champ . Brunson burner is a bowler. Aaron def a long snapper. We watch a podcast everyday. If you do do it. I’ll race ya. Honestly Nate dropped some serious wisdom around the 2:04 mark. It’s easy to theoretically care about civilization a million years ago, it takes much more to deeply care and help with the problems of real people in our own lives and communities, but that’s what ACTUALLY matters. Nate’s a really good person.

Wow! My 5th comment on the podcast and the 2nd time Nate said my name sounds like I’m a wildcard that left the family business. While there’s no family business to have left, I am a left-handed middle child who enjoys the road less traveled. Probably why I love this podcast of 4 guys who all live differently than most. Dusty's observation about family dishes touched me. Here is a dressing recipe for you. My daughter and I make a triple batch for Thanksgiving and Christmas. 1.5 cups chopped celery, 1 cup chopped onion, 2 Tablespoon fresh sage, 1 Tablespoon fresh thyme, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon peopper. 2 sticks butter, 1 loaf Italian bread. Cube the loaf of Italian bread, Heat butter in skillet (cast iron heats most evenly), saute celery and onions until soft, add 1/3 of the cubed bread and mix. Scoop cooked mixture into a bowl with seasonings and rest of bread. Mix well. Refrigerate until ready to use. Then bake in covered pan at 350 for 20 min, uncover and bake for 5-10 more and enjoy!

Dressing > Stuffing. I'll die on that hill. Dusty, I started making the dressing a couple years ago after my grandmother-in-law became too old to assist with the cooking. I use her recipe. I will be happy to share it. It is dope. It is moist. It is flavorful.

I'm with Dusty. The bygone era of the older ladies at church having their "go to" recipes that everyone wanted the recipe for seems to be long gone. Those women planned weeks ahead & even stressed over their church potluck items. It was like semester finals to them. Now most gals run into Sam's Club right before sunday school and grab a tub of chicken salad and some oreos and expect the same credit. There's still some fine church ladies out there but as Dusty said, they're a dying breed.

Stuffing is the "raw" dressing that goes in the bird and gets cooked with the bird, in the bird. Because of the juices and basting, it's the best dressing. The "raw" dressing that doesn't fit in the bird gets cooked separately. It can all be mixed together for the dinner. The mixture of seasonings, onions, celery, breadcrumbs, and chicken or turkey broth isn't raw, but gets cooked nonetheless to blend the flavors and cook the celery and onion. Plus any other ingredient you want in your dressing/stuffing.

The answer to losing family recipes is for the younger generations to actually spend time in the kitchen with the elders to learn from them. My Mom taught me certain dishes, as well as my Mother-in-Law did. My Dad taught me some Portuguese dishes I continue to make. I, in turn, passed on some of those dishes to my daughter who is an amazing cook. Only one of my granddaughters is interested. This Christmas she will make stuffed shells and ricotta cookies with me. She is only 13 and can make pasta from scratch. I do wish she could have learned to make what we called “Papa’s Meatballs” (my late husband) before he passed. We are trying to recreate them. Too many kids, including some of my grands have their noses in their electronics.

As soon as I saw the title I knew this would be an excellent podcast for Dusty. As far as Loch Ness goes, it’s totally plausible that Nessie left Loch Ness by way of an underwater connection to the ocean that has since closed. Then she died somewhere in the ocean and that’s why we haven’t seen her. In 1930 there wasn’t the technology to rule this out. Edit: I made this comment before Dusty basically said the same thing.

It was the greatest I’ve ever tasted and needless to say my brothers left my poor mother’s stuffing alone and devoured my husbands. I get what Dusty is saying about how the food tastes different that the older people make. My dad has a theory, that the cookware they have used to make the food in for years has something to do with how it tastes. My Grandmother has a blue pot she always cooks turnip greens in, and my Dad swears that it's because of that pot that her turnip greens are the best. Might be a crazy idea but I thought it was an interesting theory. Love the show guys!

You have poor comprehension. Knowledge can be found everywhere, especially in comedy

Ok this is officially my favorite episode of all time. A ton of great stuff came out this but my favorite part was the mock election debate between Aaron and Nate. Would be great to see a poll between Nate’s Loch Ness policy vs Aaron’s inflation policy.

I’m already looking forward to next years Best Of video with the compilation of the blending into sports conversations 😂 would love to know how many minutes we are already at. Every time it comes back up poor Dusty has to keep asserting that it’s more ridiculous for Breakfast to be on a soccer field and it cracks me up

Howdy from Hamilton, ON Canada, boys! Your discussion on the Canadian accent was an interesting one. I can tell you that people who live in British Columbia don't have the same accent as people who live in Newfoundland & Labrador. Even people in Southern Ontario who are close to Buffalo, New York, sound different than people who live farther north in Ontario. We have the same accent variety as in the US. It's vast and varied. And people in Quebec, well, that's right off the accent map! Anyway, love you guys so very much!! Dusty, can't wait to see your Netflix special!!! So excited!! Aaron, keep on truckin', dude! You are gonna make it big!!! Brian, you are the Alex Trebek of Nateland!! And Nate, you are the funniest, most authentic and lovely comic I have seen in a long long time! And with Brian, Aaron and Dusty, you guys are a comedy supergroup!!! Never change!!! I'm out!!! xoxoxo

Dusty, my comment a few episodes ago was part of how adamantly you defended yourself when I said that Bouncehouse would blend in better on a soccer field. You kept saying I didn’t have any idea how good you could swim. I still have my doubts but I’m looking forward to the next Krispy Kreme challenge in this swimming race. You guys gotta make this happen

Unfortunately, Thanksgiving "Dressing" is now part of the Mandella effect that we now call "Stove-Top Stuffing"
