I’ve always been a strong swimmer but never swam laps in an Olympic style pool until I was in my mid twenties when I incorporated it into my work out at a gym. One thing I found surprisingly difficult was swimming in a perfectly straight line while keeping my face under water. I would smack the lane dividers constantly the first week or so. Make it much more difficult than I ever expected. This Dusty and Nate race is going to be hilarious.

I love Dusty and admire his desire to think outside the box and question things. However, with peace and love, I really wish this guy would just take a few classes or something to help him understand analytical thought and science/scientific literacy. Its clear he is looking for answers but keeps bumping into stuff he doesnt quite understand and often wants to reject. When our ideas cant be reconcilled with reality, it is upsetting for most. I think he would be much more fulfilled if he were to dig a little deeper into the tools we use to think about and understand things, and how we arrive at theories.
@mleofstonetown10 ай бұрын
It seemed like Aaron was the one who doesn’t quite understand evolution and didn’t have many answers. Evolution is an idea, that has not been reconciled with reality, which is why it remains a theory. Dusty did just fine.

I took "Evolution of Human Mating" in college and we learned a lot about other animals' mating habits. There is a type of male squid that evolved to look like the females because that's how it sneaks past other males to fertilize the eggs. There's also a type of spider where the male does a mating dance for the female. If he does it wrong, she kills him and eats him. They evolved on two sides of a mt. range and on one side, the males are smaller but stand close to the female when they dance. On the other side the males are larger but stand further away when they dance... So either way, from the perspective of the female, they actually appear to be the same size. It's really cool

Two episodes in a row Aaron doubles down on the importance of settling on Mars. How bad has it got to be that Mars looks more appealing than Earth? Nobody settin' up house in Antarctica or The Sahara now. With manageable temps & good air! BTW, if the sun explodes the whole solar system is up a creek. So, explore Mars but just admit it's a novelty (like the moon) and not a necessity. You'll get more on board than the "Chicken Little - Sky's Falling" sales pitch.
