Why do some people even think he abuses dogs? If he were, don't you think some Animal Rights Group or something would step in to stop him? Maybe the police? "He's bribing people to not interfere with him!" "He could be abusing the dogs off-screen!" "It is not him that helps the dogs... it is God!" "He sucks!" Seriously... these people can't get a grip on the reality of the fact that dogs are dogs, and that Cesar helps every single one he has encountered. Humans too! He had one guy lose a phobia!

The people who think that are the same people who create dogs and children with such serious severe psychological issues that it crippled them for life. Cesar frees these dogs from the cage of fragility that makes them live in fear and insecurity. I wish I was a dog so I could qualify for help from Cesar. I have to settle for reading his books and watching his content and applying to me and my pup.

I am no Cesar Milan, but all my dogs have been good on the leash. When they are little, Instead of letting them get comfortable pulling I teach them that moving closer to me releases pressure on the collar. As they get older I figure out how much pressure it takes to make them uncomfortable pulling. A short tug on a training chain usually works pretty well. Every dog I have raised has been a pleasure to walk with by the time they are 4-5 months old. It works with older dogs too.

i think what ceasar does with these dogs is the most common sense stuff. re-assure him that he is ok , he will not come to harm, he can move as he pleases, and you can see when the dog is comfortable with being guided. as soon as you see he is not ready you let him be. when you ask of him to follow you, do it confidently, but you should sense if he's ready or not

It literally blows my mind that people don't get it but not everybody is the same. The dog had a fear of the leash walking with the leash so he had to do whatever he could to literally unparalyzed his fear to get him moving forward to overcome it. The dog was paralyzed physically from his mental fear and anxiety of walking with leash.

That dog is scared to make a move because it may be wrong. God forbid Cesar use a treat and try to encourage the dog to move, rather than bullying him.
