I wish the actual 3plus hour footage of the free solo of El Capitan was released. To see that from beginning to end would be interesting, considering in the film we only get to see a half hour of the climb. Flew my mom out to California for her 70th birthday in January 2020,went to Yosemite, and after seeing El Capitan in person, I still wonder how Alex did that.

they didn't film this like your friend at the crag filming your single-pitch sport climb. there's probably 15-20+ hours of footage from all the cameras, and those cameras are going on and off all the time. probably several sections of Honnold just standing on a ledge for 15 minutes at a time.
