I love David attenburough, I'm 62 years old. He was around in the late 60s when I was 6 or 7 watching national geographic on TV. Before colored television.

Hey please at least be accurate in your request, this is from 2019. It says so right at the end of the documentary, if you were paying attention. You must have looked up something with a similar name on IMDB and figured it was the same thing. It's not. This is from 2019 and it's very obvious if you watch the credits, as they have a copyright from NHK and National Geographic.

Just as I love isolated scenic places in the world versus busy crowded cities, I love learning about the deep seas that are so rarely explored. I hope these different research vessels can explore more of the deep sea before it completely changes. I Love when Sir David Attenborough narrates videos.

Just imagine the other large beings in our oceans we haven't yet discovered.... It always amazes me that scientists are shocked when they find so much life in places like this.... Its because you aren't believers. Open your mind to possibilities that are beyond your comprehension and youll be amazed at what you encounter throughout this life. Your hubris many times is your biggest obstacle.

Very likely. Without the krill, which feed on the algae in the ice, the food chain could very well collapse.

I'm not sure about the oxygen hypothesis with the gigantism. Animals at the poles do seem larger than their relatives in warm waters, but warm waters also have giant animals, possibly in even higher numbers than cold waters. Whale sharks, great whites, manta rays and even blue whales all live in warmer waters, and not at the poles. So clearly warmer waters can support large animals too.

Gigantism is i think, in part because of the same reason dinos grown to extraordinary sizes because of oxygen levels back then were so high just as polar water is able to carry more oxygen than warmer waters .

Mammals do the same thing size wise. Whitetail deer up in Canada are much much bigger than deer down in Texas. The colder the weather the bigger they get
