My daughter is 12 and has stole from my husband and I today a considerable amount of money, we are in shock! But something was mentioned here that made me remember her saying something about being noticed and attention. I'm really down and considering not to be harsh on her and keep showing her love no matter what. I hope she'll see that way that I didn't forget about her and focused all my attention to her kid sister which is 1. Gosh i need help to understand what is going on with her.

I’m 25 years old and my youngest sibling that’s 11 years old has been stealing my clothes. Today I found have of my wardrobe in her room. I started to notice first with period pads. Then it turned into my face products. I found everything today and now I don’t know if I can ever forgive her. She apologized but only after I took her iPad away as a punishment.

Why would an adult steal? Well. I need to eat, I need basic supplies and I need parts to fix things and finish projects. Without these things, I cannot carry on even this meger existence. I do not have the funds to acquire these things honestly. And I do need them. If I don't have them, everything stops and I do not eat. The reason I often steal, is the same reason I do anything illegal. In society, the machine which is our society breaks down quite often. Like very often, and you often can call the police to fix the machine, but quite often the police do not really do anything about the problem. So that leaves doing something illegal. Doing something illegal often starts the machine again. If you don't start the machine, (Think of it as a cement mixer) the concrete will dry on the machine and since you did not start it in a timely manner, the machine will become permanently damaged and there will be no way to fix it again. You have to keep society moving and making cement or else production will stop, people will not get products and services, the amount of waste in our food delivery system will grow, and possibly people will not be able to access goods and services that are quite fundamental and necessary to survival. I get 1450 per month from the disability office. My rent is 1350 plus two utilities at 50 each. That leaves me no money to spend on food or clothes, or entertainment, or security, or my health. I cannot get parts or anything that can be used as a tool to fix things. In reality, if you were in my situation you would probably be able to keep from doing it for a while, but realistically you probably could not carry on in the squalid conditions that you would be living in and you would break down and you would probably steal something to eat or clothes, or tools or Manny other necessities. If you think, well no, if I were you I would get an honest job and I would work for my money!!! No, this is not going to happen to you and if it does you will not last at the job very long. You see there is an abundance of foreign workers in all the shops and restaurants in our city and they sometimes get very underhanded in their methods to keep their job and have your employment terminated. I have had foreign workers question my mental health in order to oust me from my job, I have had a foreign worker blow up into repeated fits of rage due to not wanting to go back to the Phillipines because she was going to get laid off if I was there too. The conditions of work are quite horrible if I do say so myself. I am prone to getting bullied out of the workforce for nepotistic reasons. So as for the idea of simply going to work and paying for everything, it's just not going to happen.
