As an artist who hasn't "Made it," there's always the temptation to water down creatively and make things shorter/more "Mainstream." I decided not to give that that temptation any power on this one. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more underrated artist. Show me another artist that sings with the amount of emotion from the heartbreak of millions of people. Writes the way he does. There's actually a bunch. But I'm not giving all my secret artists away. Being underrated makes them produce more authentic music. Once an artist has a sudden spike in ratings its all downhill. This song is literally about my brother dying but because he is going to Heaven, everything will be alright. (More than alright) He wrote a song almost a decade ago now from the perspective of our father just giving us his last pieces of wisdom, which were to love Jesus and one day we would join him in Our Permanent Home. I get chills thinking about the context of each. We’re listening to the premiere of Nevaeh right now and it’s having me reflect on how far Nathan’s come. I’m mind blown. I’m speechless in the room right now but have had chills throughout the entire song. I pray we sing this song in Heaven. I had chills as I wrote that

What strikes me is, I don't know that it necessarily is any particular quality of his voice; rather, his voice is beautiful because of the emotion behind it. He crafts each song from his own heart, and he has the gift of projecting that to those who listen. Because of that, it would be impossible not to hear the beauty in his work, even if his voice was terrible. I mean, it's NOT, but like hypothetically.

I have been going through some rough times with my family and school has been kicking me in the butt. You know what? Don't put so much pressure on yourself to go to college and all. I mean an education is important, but our society has used it as a way to control people byt peer pressuring young people into the form that they'll amount to nothing if they don't have a college education or don't know what they want to do with their entire life at 18 years old. I have had some of the same experiences. People look at you in disappointment when you don't know what you want to do with your life but that's not for them to decide. You do you. Pray about it, ask God to show you the path and if that path doesn't involve some Master's degree then so be it. Just take your time. :)

Stephanie Scott I agree. I hate the idea of spending an extra 4 years plus in college but I think my parents are going to make me. I kind of have to because I don’t know what I want to do with myself on Earth other than just praise God. Praising God will always be apart of me. I hate that society try’s to label you based on your grades, if you go to college, things like that. Because of that, last year I had anxiety and depression. God broke that though, and I’ve been more faithful then ever. It’s even worse that I’m thinking about this when I’m not even a freshman in high school yet. I’ll be a freshman next year in a very competitive marching band. I’m worried my grades that are pretty much all A’s (I have a B in Algebra) will drop to C’s and B’ or worse. The only thing keeping me positive is God, and that is my main focus right now. I’m happy because of God.😊

I like to think that 'Don't forget me' is about someone who is dying in a hospital with their partner by their side which in the end he dies hence the heartbeat fading away. Ascension is when he makes his way to Heaven and arrives there And Joy is when he is waiting for his partner and reunite with them, so he thanks God for bringing them together once more, this time, inseparable I really loved this masterpiece. I only listen to this song every few months because it's my absolute favorite, it always makes me cry hard, and I never want it to lose its effect. I randomly out of nowhere decided to listen to it tonight and after a few seconds of listening, I felt like I should stop and check my phone. I had a text from a new friend that I do not know too too much about just yet. They said something was on their mind and they wanted to talk. I asked what was up and they shied away not wanting to bother me. I persisted and eventually gave up because it was clear they didn't want to talk. I said "Alrighttt. I'm gonna go listen to my favorite song that I only listen to every few months because it always makes me cry." She texts back, "What song?" I say, "Not trying to self promo but it's a song called Nevaeh by my brother." She started to listen to it and after a few minutes she told me that it was the four year anniversary of her suicide attempt. She said it brought her along an insanely beautiful journey, it made her cry and feel so many emotions that she had been feeling. I really don't believe in coincidences. This timing was too perfect. Jesus is Lord.

You have the gift of healing souls through the music you make, a download from God...your voice has anointing. I want to testify that this song saved my faith. A few months ago I felt beaten and lost faith, thought of giving up life too. I went on KZbin to play sad songs (also avoided Christian songs) and left it on autoplay and then I went to play some games to try to distract myself. Then this song came up. Idk how this song got mixed up with the sad songs autoplaying but I felt so warm that I started crying. I felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit and heard the prayers in this song. I was reminded of God's everlasting love and that He has been here calling me, holding me. His grace is upon me and He continued to fight for my heart when I lost faith. I felt joy and love.
