Thank you sir. I changed the 9-volt battery in mine today. it was a Golden Power brand made in China. I installed that battery along with that new remote 16 years ago. Now I'd say that's a damn good battery. I won't put anything else in there that'll last that long. I wrote Golden Power a long email today about their great product. Thanks for the vid.

Thanks so much for this video! It's amazing how first the Japanese, then the Chinese, designed battery doors that were obvious in their operation. I guess it takes an American company to come up with a really idiotic design. I noticed the hole at the bottom, but thought its was only a drain in case water got inside.Never occurred to me thst a latch could be hidden in there as well. Great garage door operners, marginal industrial design.

You don't have to do anything here. I can't speak for every opener out there, but with these openers and these keypads you just need to change the battery. The code is saved in the opener itself. This keypad is basically a glorified remote. Instead of having one button to push you have to enter the code on it, but essentially it works the same as your remote in your car.
