Getting speed boosts on Nihilego is so good. The mon is so insanely fat on the special side, that it's actually one of the few mons you can just rip a hard meteor beam on and eat whatever special attack is coming your way, and then your opponent just has to pick a sack.

These poison teams were a big problem for my mono grass squad! I wish kartana was allowed in monotype! I don’t understand why it’s banned but threats like blacepholon and Urshifu single strike are allowed

Yeah Dracovish, Cinderace, and Galatians darm are allowed too which is insane that uber threats like that are allowed! Dracovish with a scarf, darm with a scarf, and urshifu rapid strike with a choice band could sweep a lot of teams instantly and is just as dangerous as kartana. Kartana is still just OU while the rest of the mons are in uber. It’s definitely not ideal

4:19 I do believe the reason ditto would not absorb toxic spikes is because entry hazards activate before the imposter ability so toxic spikes would activate and then ditto would transform so u don’t get the absorption. I think it’s similar to why sticky webs won’t work on ditto, sticky webs activate and then ditto transforms and copies the opponents stat changes.

Your mono-poison team looks VERY different from my old Gen 6 gym team, though I didn't really follow competitive, which was actually my strat, people build for what they expect, not what they don't. For example, rock tomb-rocky helmet Drapion as my TFlam counter. With rocks up, could KO TFlame 1 turn while not being a red flag to cause a switch. Rocks were up, because I had a bulk-build Nidoqueen who consistantly got rocks and 2 sets of TSpikes up, and ran Dragon Tail to force random switches after her job was done... Even ran a speed boost baton setup Whirlipede for a bit because why not (we didn't play Smogon, but had house rules. Much smaller "ban list," only banned Legendaries, even broken mons were OK if not Legends lol) Worst case I had Stockpile Weezing w/ Will O Wisp and Pain Split, which won me a lot of standoffs against bulky skarms (Had a 40 minute battle of attrition with a Skarm once, before they forfeited lmao) Each leader picked singles or doubles, I was singles, IDK what I'd build for doubles or VGC style tbh.
