The very best commentator. A specialist on financial repression and that's where we are.

Most wrong questions stem from a erroneous belief that there is a link between interest rates and inflation- we are in a regime change!

Russel continues to be as interesting as ever, and you’re just as amusing virtue-signalling that this is ad-free and making the first 10 minutes (of less than 60) an ad for both your podcast and the guest’s course. The icing on the cake is that the advertised offer isn’t even available to anyone that’s not a HF member. Thanks for that. 😂

The rise of national capitalism and the potential death of the international monetary system signal significant shifts in the power structures that shape our world. National capitalism, where nations prioritize domestic industries, economic self-sufficiency, and national interests over global trade and cooperation, is challenging the long-standing principles of the global financial order. This shift can be seen in the increasing protectionist policies, trade wars, and the push for economic sovereignty that prioritize national security and economic resilience. The international monetary system, once a symbol of interconnected economic stability, now faces pressures from emerging economic powers, digital currencies, and economic fragmentation. Traditional institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank are grappling with the need to adapt to a world where power dynamics are more complex and multi-polar. This new reality is marked by an erosion of trust in global economic cooperation, as nations focus on strategic interests, influence over critical resources, and securing their economic independence. The systems of power shaping our world today are multifaceted, driven not only by economic forces but also by technological advancements, geopolitical tensions, and shifting alliances. National capitalism, while promoting local economic growth, risks creating a fragmented global landscape, where cooperation gives way to competition and conflict. The future of global power will depend on finding a balance between national interests and the necessity for collaborative approaches that address shared challenges, such as climate change, pandemics, and economic inequality.

Giving credit to a Japanese politician about alleged future crimes of China smells of a lack of balance. The Japanese politicians don't even acknowledge what country destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki which exposes their US lackeys status. And why did the Japanese PM talk about Russia and Ukraine instead of Nanjing or even Gaza? Don't contraband political propaganda into a sober financial analysis, which is actually interesting.
