@Just.Lailen2 жыл бұрын
What mos did you choose?
@Warzone1572 жыл бұрын
@@Just.Lailen The 2-mile run was rough at the first fitness test, but you get far more endurance training during morning PT. As far as push-ups, I would start out with at least 40 push-ups a day (20 in the morning, 20 at night), and then gradually work on going higher within 2 weeks. I would say start with what they call 30-60s, which is running for 30 seconds, and walking 60 seconds, then elevate to 60-120s. Ruck Marching about 3- 4 miles works wonders on your back, legs, and shoulders, Hill Sprints, and half a mile sprints about 8 times. I would also have you to not just run, but get a nice stride and to pace yourself. During basic, they’ll start you off with a 1 mile run, which will determine which running group you’ll be in (Alpha- Fast, Bravo- Pretty Fast, Charley- Moderate, or Delta- Progressive Improvement). Their might be more, depending on how big your Company is. My MOS is 31 Bravo (Military Police). Also, make sure to stay hydrated during the day and night, and get some stretching time in before lights out (probably will be at 2030hrs, 8:30 in military time).

@matchit04194 жыл бұрын
It may not be as hard as Marines or BUDs but I assure you it's still challenging. If you're not prepared before I assure you, you have a higher chance of being Recycled or Chaptered out. You still want to be in somewhat shape before BCT. Just a recommendation, no matter how tough you maybe, the Drill Sargents will always put the fear of God in you whether you think so or not. Though I will admit, as time passes they begin to lay off abit, until the real challenge comes when it's the Forge with around 40 miles of marching and a week of relearning everything from the earliest to most recent. Now like I said, it's not as hard as the marines, but it's probably a close 2nd or 3rd since Coast Guard is pretty close with the Marine's intensity if not supposively more stressful. Also ofcourse BUDs will be waaaay harder than Army, BUDs is a selection program for special forces training. Completely different from the US Army. The US Army is just trying to see who the hell won't be a danger to others or who won't give up. It maybe a "cake walk" COMPARED to the Marines, but I assure you it's NOT easy. You have to have and always hold your reason on why you're there or you'll break down and give up. Though I haven't been to BCT since around a year ago, I'm not sure, I don't think they even have Shark Attacks anymore. At least when I was in I had somewhat of a Shark Attack I mean you get screamed and but never physically touched. The Army maybe getting abit easier since the 1970s but I assure you, not everyone is made to join the Army. In conclusion it may not be as hard or rigorous as Marines or BUDs but it can still suck abit. I'm just saying man, don't say it's easy because no military training is easy. Even the AirForce is difficult mentally/thinking wise. No training is a "Cake Walk." All training is for a specific purpose and goal, it just depends on you as a purpose and your reason to reach the goal of their training. Now personally, I think ANYONE CAN do it, though, it's up to the person. This is nothing against you or anything I'm just letting you know, it looks easy from watching a video, but it's different when you're there.

What they don’t tell you is that after the event is over which lasts about an hour, we sleep for the rest of the day and have days with a lot of white space in which we do “Weapons Maintenance” which only lasts 30 mins, Having the rest of the day to sleep low key.

@@sadginger4924 Naw i ain’t lying. ONE day of the week during blue phase and during the 249 240 later on We do a Qual, if you pass you don’t do shit but sit on the bleachers the rest of the day. The rest of the week we don’t do shit maybe some bullshit marching. Barely got out of Basic, OSUT and all that bs few months ago. Shits boring but game me the best naps of my life. Weapons maintenance and cleaning the bay but that shit does not take all day just a few mins. We don’t do shit at all the rest of the day. Marching is disgustingly overrated.

You're allowed to smoke with permission only. Do not expect candy, junk food, or liquor before white phase, if at all. Getting phone calls is not mandatory. Your ONLY communication with the outside world is snail mail, and that is restricted to letters and packages from home. It is all part of the process.

I am interested in joining the Army National Guard I’m 16 almost 17 I have a very mild form of Tourette’s that doesn’t affect my day to day life will that bar me from service?
@matchit04194 жыл бұрын
Okay man, as long as it's in no medical files in your records saying you have it, I'd say just say "no." Though, you gotta remember that the reason why I'm telling you to say "NO" is because you yourself said, it doesn't affect you so you should be fine. I'd reccomend speaking to a recruiter though, you don't have to tell the MEPs everything. Theyll try to scare you into doing so but that's how they get paid is keeping future military members out. As long as it's not recorded in your personal doctor records, as long as it doesn't affect your day to day life style you're good.

Minus the fitness test that have to or passed. What is the longest that a recruit will run at one time? And does anyone think I’m to old at 33? But I am in very good mental and physical condition. Looking at 88m or 13b
@element587dude74 жыл бұрын
Honestly I think you'll do fine. There's people in terrible condition when they join that will still pass. All they wanna see is that you're trying. Hurry before you hit 35!!!
