You should tone down the music so that we could hear you better

The video is good but you should have made it a little bit larger unless you plan on making a video of how to use each faction one by one

Thanks for the feedback. It truly does mean a lot to me. I probably will upload more videos on some ways of using them. I’m trying to make my videos rather fast paced and to the point.

Would you rather me keep this up as an overview and make another guide for playing each nation?

@@thetotalwarsmaster it would be cool kinda like “Lugotorix” overview of each faction if you have seen his videos, ans yes keep this it is ok

Which faction should I start with ?

I think Prussia is a good starting one because it is very balanced. Everything they have is good.

Hey Marshall Davout and NeillMistry ;) Prussia is indeed really good for beginners, however I have a very different point of view from other players about starter faction. I think that the best faction to begin with is Netherlands : as a beginner, you absolutely need to understand the differences btw each TYPE of units before each unit individually. And going with a country that has a very varied army roster is quite confusing for beginners. You need to play a faction that has the more different unit categories available but at the same time the least variety in each category to keep it as simple as possible. Netherlands does that perfectly for infantry : they have militia, line, both type of lights and grenadiers with only one unit in each category. I suggest you play this faction first to learn the differencies btw militia, line and grenadiers and btw both type of lights without having to bother which special variation of those unit you should take. If you're good with the basic Dutch units you'll be even better with any other variation you'll find in other countries' roster ;)

@@jeanhubertgazonthe problem I have with the Neatherlands is their cav isn’t very good for the most part (no lancer or shooter cav) and everything else they have more or less sucks. I’d think a new player would be better of with Portugal if you are going for simplicity. Since both of their cav sucks, should use the nation with far superior infantry.

@@thetotalwarsmaster Fair enough but Netherlands still has a regular cav, it is not that bad, while Portugal has the worst cav in the game 😂 Also I believe that cavalry isn't a priority for beginners since it's a lot more micro intensive and overall, all cav will work the same. The differences btw each cav is really subtle and way less essential for a beginner than the difference btw militia and line, or light infantry and skirmishers. Finally, again against all other players I think that beginners should learn the game with the most basic units available 😆 So when they get to understand the Dutch roster, they know how perform the regular/standard/average units of each category and by comparing stats they quickly get to know the strength and weaknesses of other factions. Netherlands is a template for infantry. Portugal on the other hand has an above average infantry and the best lights in the game. People that learn the game by playing Cazadores will have a false idea of what to expect from light infantry.

@@jeanhubertgazon I mean, while I agree to an extent playing with the worst nation is going to make it difficult on new players. A Netherlands player will lose most light fights and many line fights. It could give an underpowered feeing to a new player about the game getting curbed stomped by other factions such as Prussia, GB, Portugal, with nations like Austria and Ottoman Empire able to pretty easily beat them too.
