Wow thank you soooo much for sharing this awesome bracelet idea, i like it a lot, you are a great teacher as well, this is going to be so fun & i don't even need o use a loom, thanks for sharing this tutorial, i look forward to making a few of these, oh but i did notice around the end you didn't show how you actually finished securing that button, i wonder on just how many knots of thread is needed & burnt off.

BEautiful color choice for the pattern you created. I would love to see the finishing part of burning the threads and gluing though.

ufo1971 when you used the loom did you use this technique? I have the wrap it pro loom from rainbow loom and want to make the wider ones but wasn't sure if this would work with the wrap it pro loom?
@ufo19718 жыл бұрын
Wow! Totally forgot that I have commented on this video! Haha! 😊 Yes, exactly the same technique! I have made my own wide beadloom with a wooden plank and I can make pretty wide bracelets if I want to. Up to 8 cm but I don't think that is fit for a bracelet... 😊

Thank you very much. I really enjoyed this pattern and all the possibilities it presents. I'm old to beading but new to the use of the leather frame on each side of the beads. Very clever. Mostly I worked on a loom.

I spent a day at your Alexandria store and loved it all. For a bracelet like this one, when do you need a loom?
@Potomacbeadco5 жыл бұрын
You can use a wrap bracelet loom if you wish, or the Endless Loom, or a clipboard with some cloth under the clip so you don't mark your leather. The method is up to your own personal preference.

Hi, thanks so much for doing this tutorial. I have just bought some leather cord and hope to try it on the loom but I don’t know how to put it on. Does it have to be tied both ends to finish if I make it on the loom or can I still do a loop for the button? I hope you can help because I really want to make one for my son. Thank you 😊
@Potomacbeadco2 жыл бұрын
It will need to be tied on both ends but you can always make the knot then create a loop after with extra remaining cord

About how long does this bracelet take to make? I want to do this in my Crafts class and need to block out how many days it may take. They are 55 minute periods. Thank you!
@Potomacbeadco5 жыл бұрын
That depends on the individual students. An experienced beader could probably make it in an hour, but teaching it may require extra time, due to explanations and questions, etc. If you have everything well prepared, with each student having ready access to the colours they want, I'd allow two sessions and have something at the ready, as a time filler for those who finish early.

I'm struggling with what you mean by bottom, top, wrap around? The lettering is over what you're doing and camera is also too far back. Mine just came out as some lopsided beads.
@Potomacbeadco4 жыл бұрын
Have you ever made a leather wrap bracelet with a single line of beads between the cords? You might like to try that method first, until you get used to the thread paths. The thread is forming figure 8s all the way along the cords, which holds them together. As you make your figure 8s, you're also passing the needle through the bead between the cords, securing it there. It's important to be consistent with your thread path so that the finished bracelet looks neat all the way along. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3iZXmZso96ceLc

I was confused about the thread. when I was watching the video I was confused because when you tied the thread to the leather I only saw one strand of thread and a little bit before that I saw that the thread was looped through the needle. thanks for your help, love your videos.
