The Royal Burgh of Culross in Fife is a beautiful little town and an Outlander filming location. Around 40 mins drive from Edinburgh but well worth the drive! Cobbled streets and pretty 17th century houses. It’s a hidden gem! Have a great holiday!

Have a wonderful time in Scotland. I was born in Edinburgh in 1963 and lived with my family for 16 months. Went back to Scotland in 1991 and resided in Barrhill in SE Ayrshire. I recommend visiting Loch Lomond and Pitlochry which are very picturesque places.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏔

I've been to Scotland many times, my late husband came from Glasgow so we used to travel around a lot when we visited from London. Loch Lomond was beautiful but we were shrouded with midges 😊 Largs, Dundee. Aberdeen we have been to... scenery is out of this world, I'm heading to Edinburgh in January. You will love everywhere, enjoy 😊😊

I used to spend my summers in Crail in Fife. I used to love looking at the grave stones in all the churches. Weird for a child/ teen. I think it was because my mum used to love looking at the grave stones too. We are the ones that are in fire and then the hurricane came and knocked out the power. Sweating buckets, but luckily our power wasn’t out long. That’s Texas summer for you though.

Hi guys. I was born in Edinburgh and lived there 1959 to 2016. Now in forres moray. In forres high street right along past the police station we have a plaque dedicated to the witches. Enjoy scotland. Urquart castle worth seeing. We have the suano stone from the picts in foress. Findhorn beautiful beach. Enjoy guys. ❤ palace of holyrood walk down the royal mile. Use the bus in edinburgh. The dome in george street is lovely for lunch. St marys cathedral worth a look. Lots to do.

Slains Castle, north of Aberdeen (ruins), Bram Stoker said to have been inspired to write Dracula, (he stayed in the Kimarnock Arms Hotel) /Cruden Bay?, also Dunottar Castle near Stonehaven. Very picturesque/dramatic.Enjoy your travels. Prepare for muddy grounds at any of the castles...4 seasons in one day.💙 Outlander, Culross, near Edinburgh. You can do coach tours, they often don't give you enough time. Edinburgh have trams now. Royal Yacht good. Maybe Rosslyn Chapel, Holyrood Palace.

While in Fort William, watching the locks in process was interesting for our trip a few years back - excellent food nearby too. We'd lodged within a mountainside cabin in Drumnadrochit - that village was lovely as well. Didn't have enough time for Skye ... hoping you will so we can see what we missed! Have a lovely trip.

Love the natters it might be an idea to get 4:34 mosquito hoods at this time of year they can be savage. I love Scotland so much if you can afford it the Prestonfield Hotel Edinburgh is absolute heaven I love that place its affiliated with the Witchery next to Edinburgh Castle. Go if you can amazing energy and a real treat. Have a great time and please do a natter. Gary you look different with the hair cut and beard trim so young looking. I get told I never age maybe I don't 😂 xxxxx

Hi guys, Scone Palace in Perthshire is good. Mega Scottish history. Claire if your going through Glencoe, please protect yourself. There was a massacre in 1692, where the Clan MacDonald suffered losses. I've never seen a bird here, it's stunning but eerie. In Glasgow we have loads of Charles Rennie MacIntosh treasure. House of the Art Liver in Bellahouston Park, The Willow Tearooms, A church in Maryhill Road & I'm sure loads more. Plus Napiers the Herbalist are in Edinburgh & Glasgow and are a game changer for health, in my case Gut Health. Highly recommend, you look into that.

I lived in pitlochry for twenty years beautiful place. My mum was born in Edinburgh nice city. When I worked in pitlochry I worked in a deli and sometimes Balmoral would order cold meat. I found Inverness a bit overrated. But Scotland is beautiful and historical. Oh and Edinburgh old town is very good

I hope you enjoy your holiday and the weather is kind to you. When we went to Balmoral many moons ago it was just one large room you had access to, but it was packed with wonderful items and the grounds are amazing. Have you been to see the Suenos stone at Forres? If not, do look it up, it's massive, seriously impressive! There are some small stone circles around Glenlivet which mark tombs and wonderful scenery, its absolute worth a drive (we used to live there). Hoping the sun shines for you! Xxx
