My sister in law moved in with us and will be here for the year. She has a bladder infection and I gave her usnea tincture a few days ago. She says it has helped tremendously. Thanks Heidi!!

Hello Heidi! We're overwhelmed by antibiotics prescriptions. There is a shortage. Not to mention the fact they destroy our good gut bacteria and hard to ladies. I do suggest the use of probiotics with them. In any case, What you describes works. I did an organic honey infused garlic, thyme, oregano, ginger and cayenne. My aunt took it and her cough stopped. A colleague's mother was coughing over a month. That was resolved in a few days as well. I had to use too. I'm running out, I'll do another batch and add rosemary as you suggested. May the Lord bless you and keep you!

Unsea is excellent! Used on one of our horses, who partially broke his coffin bone in his hoof. I was at wits end, antibiotic shots daily wouldn't touch it . Swelling developed to his whither. Ask a friend who was a pharmacist, who now worked with herbs. She told me about Unsea and we immediately gathered gathered it. A handful chopped on his food 2xday. Three days and his swelling was almost gone! And that was almost 16 years ago and still is healthy and happy.

I just use the honey garlic with lemon..and elderberry syrup that I buy until my plants produce better..I very rarely get sick, including colds, but if I’m going somewhere that’s crowded, especially indoors I’ll use this stuff in the week before, week of, & week after..

It is amazing, what God put out there to keep us healthy. I'm learning, just about every plant has some type of immuno boosting/antibacterial/antiviral properties. In 4 years, what I've concluded was: find which ones work best for specific ailments and which ones can I source locally to stock my apothecary. (I'm always thinking I need to learn about and rely on what is available in my area in case of major disruptions in the supply chain, plus I know exactly how natural and organic it is). So far, I've settled on garlic and honey infusions for immune boosting, oregano oil or tinctures for active infections, like the sinus infections I am prone to, Usnea for my antibiotic salve, and sweetgum for a Tamiflu substitute. I do store other herbs for other purposes, not related to specifically treating illness, like plaintain and calendula for skin health, and rosemary for my hair shampoo and conditioner. And many more for for teas for fever, allergy relief, sleep, etc.

I have a lovely antibiotic blend that I made with some of the herbs you mentioned. I grown nasturtium myself and I probably won't have to grow it for three years lol. I had vines and vines and vines of flowers and I only planted two plants!

I’ve got an elderflower elixer sitting. I put dried elderflowers, local honey, spiced rum that was gluten free, and then I took a page from your channel. I added in some Ceylon cinnamon chips and dried orange peels. I hope that it will be helpful for coughs. I love elderflower infused honey in hot tea. It has a lovely floral flavor. I think this will taste really good.

The funniest nasturtium story I have is even though my late hubby knew I used herbs extensively, he rarely saw me just pick and eat one. One day I fixed a cold cut sandwich and didn't have any lettuce to put on it. Tommy was on the porch when I walked out the back door and started picking nasturtium leaves and putting them on my sandwich. He said 'What the -bleep- are you doing'? I held the sandwich up and said lettuce stand in. He said whatever and went on with what he was doing. He had no idea how much nasturtium he had eaten 😊

A few years ago, I read that Nasturtium leaves were edible. So, I decided to grow some to see what they were like. Now, It's difficult to keep any plants around. Every time I go by a Nasturtium plant, I start eating the leaves. There are some plants it seems I'm addicted to: Nasturtium, Bronze Fennel, Tarragon. I'll eat those over candy any day! I also love eating dehydrated garlic chips. Sometimes I wonder if there is something that my body needs from these plants. I DO NOT like spicy foods, but I also have a LOVE of horseradish and wasabi.

Nasturtium was pleasantly spicy and I found quite delicious as a snack while in the garden. I made every family member take a taste and most were surprised you could pluck and pop into your mouth. I also like to snack on goosefoot, and garlic or onion greens.

😮I've making a tea using a quart of water several star anise several cloves freshly grated ginger and some cinnamon. After it cools a bit I add add honey. An ingredient in star anise is what they base tamiflu on. Don't forget mullein for clearing nasty congestion

Yes Tamiflu Star Anise connection and I was sure I had a video on that but cannot find it here, I wonder if they removed it without my knowledge? And yes, mullein is great for all respiratory health and more as covered in this video and thankfully now I am growing plenty since shooting this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWGuhpuHq8umsJo

The idea of this list is that any of them should help with any infection in the body. I simply recommend using as much in tea form as possible as the liquid will also help to flush the infection out and cranberry juice is also another that was common with its high vitamin C content
