I learned about these from Indian KZbinrs a couple of years ago and love how simple it is. I would love to try it here, but it's too humid here and not enough water would evaporate to get the cooling effect. That's wonderful that you are promoting the idea so it can spread around the world. 😊

This is a different concept. It works even in humid environments. You should try it.

The technology here isn't new - Google clay pot cold storage or clay fridge. Basically it's about heat exchange. If you keep moisture around the clay, the outside temps draw heat out leaving the inside super cool. Doesn't work so well in humid and cold environments, but great in hot environments and even better if there's gentle breezes. There's even a company in India who makes affordable clay box fridges for the poorer communities.

No it's not dand I think, it's sawdust. Sand traps heat , that's why deserts are hot. But wood and sawdust doesn't conduct heat, so it's use as a insulation mechanism, what he made is basically a flask.

Hahahahaha I want to see the video where you get your hand stuck in the pot because you can’t pull out the giant orange… 😂 This is literally the concept of a raccoon trap. Only around the edges, there’s usually a bunch of nails and spiky things so that the raccoon can’t pull their hand back out. And they’ll never let go of whatever you put in the bottom. 😊

Easy enough to put it in a large enough mesh/plastic bag fruits/vegetables come in with a draw string...before or after it's placed in the container. Then, just pull it up by the string.😊
