My goodness, what an enthusiastic and, dare I say, handsome helper you had for this project. I'd make it take two days too.🤣

That was super practical and realistic . So often I am put off by not having the perfect conditions but now I am going to try daffodils in my heavy wet clay paddock- in Australia - thanks!

I must say, I do find it odd how you never see these kind of problems on KZbin or instructions yet we all live with a reality that is quite different. Glad you found the video helpful

Lots of holes makes hard work. Will be very interested in how they come up in the flowering season. Daffodils are so hardy and naturalise really well. Enjoy experiencing the beauty as it unfolds. You have hatched an idea for me relative to a spot in the lawn where I might try something like this out. Thankfully, the soil is far easier to dig than where you are.
@GardeningatDouentza4 ай бұрын
I'm glad your idea involves regular lawn and not the inhospitable spot I chose 😅 Don't forget my discount for Bulbi, if you choose to order from them. Happy growing.

I planted narcissus reticulata together with camassia ten years ago and they both come back every year. Greetings also to your nice helper.

Hard work Rachel But many times I have planted bulbs that did not make the 3 times deep theory and they just do fine I find in stone ground plants very often do great because the stone and this is just my own theory seems to feed them keep them dry and warm even roots do the same heat wise and drainage I think they just going to look great God bless the work

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I hope to share my flowering daffodils with you all in spring. It is the season of hard work, isn't it!

I will certainly make use of your code. That's great!!! I am sure your daffodils will look spectacular. I am considering planting daffodils in our garden in Crete. Do you think they will take and hopefully naturalize? Or would it be too warm for them? What should I do to help them along?
@GardeningatDouentza4 ай бұрын
I'm sorry but I can't really advise you on growing daffodils in such a warm climate as Greece. They do need cold.

I planted the same daffodil as you have and none of them grew- i have no idea why? Do you think they got too wet? Such a shame as I was so looking forward to them. In fact, in general, most daffodils don't seem to do very well in my garden. Oplace the, at the back of my borders in the hope that my perennials with hide the foliage as the flowers go over.Your garden is going to look beautiful. Happy gardening. 🙂

Well, it your ground is water logged they will not like it. That's the one thing that's most likely to kill them off.
@bewoodford28073 ай бұрын
@@GardeningatDouentza ground isn't waterlogged, in fact my dahlias and salvias overwinter well. I am concerned that it may be caused by rats- my next door neighbour has chickens and I have seen rats in the garden occasionally. I have stopped feeding the lovely birds because of them, trying to discouage them from the garden. Do you think their tunnels may fill with water, in the winter months and drowned the bulbs?
