Thank you for this reaction. Naturally 7 is one of my favorite groups. They have been around since 1999-2000. They came after Take 6. So all the groups you're talking about, I'm sure are big fans of these guys. The founder of the group is Roger Thomas, the guy who was rapping. The guy doing the drums is his brother. I think they are from Queens NY. One or two of the guys I think was also from Queens. The rest are from other states. They call their style of music, vocal play, not acapella. They all can sing and do several instruments. You should definitely check out "Broken Wings" and While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and they actually have a duet with Ludacris called "Soul Bossa Nostra" It's a shame that they have been around for over twenty years and not a lot of people know about them. They are starting to a little now, but I've been down with them since 2000.

There is an official video for Wall of Sound. And they did a video with Ludacris and Quincy Jones called Soul Bossa Nostra... it was a reworking of Quincy's Soul Bossa Nova from the '60's (which was used as the opening to Austin Powers).

I also saw them open for Michael Bublé years ago and they were amazing. I think they grew up too poor to afford instruments, so they had to pretend. Worked out well. 😄
