L-39's incident report: "On November 18, 2023, I was dispatched to a possible single vehicle accident that occurred at the 85-mile marker southbound on Interstate 49. I had checked going northbound and was unable to locate the accident. I turned around to head southbound at the 87 off ramp to double check. While entering interstate 49 from the 87 on ramp to travel southbound, I observed a black sport bike pass me in the far-left lane at a very high rate of speed. I used my state issued stalker radar system and got a reading of 108 mph in a posted 70 mph zone. At the time I was still en route to look for the possible accident. I notified dispatch of the bike and all units southbound. Shortly after checking the area where the accident possibly occurred, I did not locate any vehicles on the shoulder or median. I cleared from the call and was able to see the sport bike ahead still traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic in a reckless manner southbound from the 82-mile marker. I notified dispatch that I was going to attempt to catch up to the sport bike. After notifying dispatch, I began attempting to catch up to the suspect from exit 83. During this time the suspect was at speeds of a 114 mph via radar. I activated my emergency blue lights and sirens and began to gain on the bike. I was able to catch up to the suspect, who at this point, was joined by a second sport bike (white in color) also traveling at a high rate of speed. No license plate was visible, and I called out a traffic stop and began giving a description of the riders and bikes. While I was giving out rider and bike descriptions the black sports bike made a hand signal to the other bike and began to accelerate. At that time, I notified dispatch that I was in pursuit of the bike previously traveling at a high rate of speed. The suspect continued southbound making several unsafe lane changes and passing cars on both the right and left-hand shoulders. Traffic was very congested, the suspect continued to drive with no regard for safety of other motorists or himself. As we approached exit 78, the suspect cut across from the far left to the right shoulder. The suspect traveled a very short distance on the exit ramp before re-entering the interstate from the gore. The suspect then entered the interstate from the shoulder and proceeded to travel a short distance before approaching Trooper Walker and Trooper Miller who had been previously notified. Trooper Walker was in the far-right lane at the 77-exit ramp. Trooper Miller was in the far-left lane. The suspect approached the Troopers and crossed all three lanes of travel before traveling across the shoulder and gore of exit 77. Due to brake fade, I was unable to slow and safely pursue as the primary officer at that time. Trooper Walker took primary and Trooper Miller took secondary. I was able to safely exit onto State Highway 612 and continue the pursuit with Troopers Walker and Miller. Trooper Miller advised that the suspect was westbound on highway 612 at speeds over 140 mph. Trooper Walker and Trooper Miller pursued the suspect a short distance on highway 612. Trooper Miller advised they were able to get the suspect stopped on a bridge located on highway 612. I arrived moments later where Trooper Walker and Trooper Miller were taking the suspect into custody. Trooper Walker and Trooper Miller assisted the suspect off the bike and into a position of disadvantage. I exited my patrol unit to assist in taking the suspect in custody. We were able to place the suspect in custody a short moment later. The suspect was identified as Zachary Bennett, white male, with a date of birth of 6/30/1995. Bennett was placed in the back of my patrol unit after an incident to arrest search of his person. Trooper Walker and Trooper Miller remained on scene to wait on a wrecker for the suspect vehicle. I then transported the suspect to the Benton County Detention Center for booking on the charges below. 5-54-125(d)(3) 2023: FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH 27-50-302(a)(7): SPEEDING - MORE THAN 15 MPH OVER LIMIT 27-51-307: IMPROPER PASSING ON LEFT 27-51-308: IMPROPER PASSING ON RIGHT 27-50-308(b)(1)(B) 1ST: RECKLESS DRIVING - 1ST 27-51-104(b)(1): IMPROPER OR UNSAFE LANE CHANGE 27-51-901: FAIL TO YIELD TO EMERGENCY VEHICLE"

Should’ve stopped dude. Now you got real problems. I got lit up after a 150 mph blast. When he lit me up immediately pulled over and stopped ready to face the consequences like a man. The Trooper was so grateful I stopped and after hearing my weak excuse of it was only going to be one quick pull. He seriously check my papers and let me go with a verbal warning. Side Note: It definitely wasn’t in the state of Arkansas. Close but not in Arkansas.

" I have to anticipate alot and thats the most exhausting part when going fast - to anticipate the actions of the other drivers." That is literally the statement of someone who drives recklessly in the State of Arkansas.

Got lit up for doing 150+ I pulled over immediately just like you did. I too was ready to take it like a grown asz man, and go to jail. I got the lecture of the century,, and then a warning, I could not had believed it. I upheld my promise and never did that again!! He lit me up at 167mph. Edited: It wasn't until 20 years later, just 3 years ago, I made it to 162, then let it pulled it back and let it be. I refuse to speed in a vehicle, but on a bike, it's such a different feeling. 😊

It's illegal in a number of states where's there are more than 2 lanes headed in one direction especially up north. Actually it's illegal in just every state on the eastern seaboard.

All Interstates with a dedicated "truck lane" (far right lane) require that all "Commercial or combination vehicles" (i.e. trailers) keep to the right and that the left lane is reserved for passenger vehicles and busses if they are driving at the posted speed limit. Standard Interstate signage states that.

The State should pass a law, that the left lane is for passing only, with anyone caught camping in the left lane subject to a fine of $200.00 !! It's amazing how many people drive in the left lane with their heads in their asses !! It runs my blood pressure up watching these fools camping in the left lane blocking the State Troopers with lights and siren on from pursuing felons !!!! People just stare at a fixed point in front of them (usually another car's bumper), shut their brain down to it's lowest functioning level, and just travel to their destination without a care in the world or acknowledgement of the existence of anyone else around them. The easiest ones to spot are the people driving bumper to bumper in the slower lanes, even though there's minimal traffic and plenty of time and space to make passes in the other lanes.

@@VetOnFire , various Ford engines, Chevy etc., have design flaws but what do you expect a 6-7,000+ lb 6 cyl "microbus" to sound like, a Hellcat? You should hear a Chrysler 3.6 Pentastar with the notorious "tick/tap" sound where the cam lobes are being shredded by the roller rocker frames in a 4-5 yr old vehicle with less than a hundred thousand miles and see the "drill-bit" like cam shavings covering the oil filter, we're talking about "tear-drop" shaped cam lobes completely rounded.... And let's not forget that apparently some Dodge V8 model years don't fair well either with long engine idle times because of the reduced lubricity of the valvetrain. Absolutely disastrous designs, it should be criminal to design/build such garbage, sell it off for utility/public use and then expect buyers to foot the bill for thousands of dollars in repairs wherein some other vehicle designs after 20+ yrs and 240,000+ miles STILL have not needed such repairs.
