I always go for a larger tent, because I like the space. I also like being able to sweep the dirt out, so that bottom zipper is something I use. 🔥🦈🌊

I just bought a prospector 4 person dome tent used. Do you think I did a good deal? I bought it for 7 dollars all the reviews say it would not be good in the rain. I just wanted something for if a disaster hits. It also has a rain fly. It says it is water resistant not water proof.

You can buy some waterproofing (it's a spray can) and seam sealer, and it will improve it quite a bit. I'd give it the hose test after you do both of those things. also a ground cloth (tarp) to prevent water coming in from underneath

Hi, thanks for the comment. It's been a few years since I did this review, but I BELIEVE it is 210T Anti-tear polyester 3000mm. This has been my go-to tent for a couple years now, and it has kept me dry in some pretty rough conditions including a tornado cell where I really thought "this is it, I'm gonna die here in this tent tonight." I didn't. Nor did my tent take on any water. Amazingly, it even survived crazy winds that night.

Glad to know you are both alive! :D A few questions for you: 1. Do you think I could use the canopy to cook (with an alcol stove) under a light rain or will the rain get inside? 2. As I haven’t found an update video on the tent in your video collections, do you still recommend it or have you found lighter tents (not the cloud up 2, 2 narrow for my taste)? 3. Do you usually use it WITHOUT groundsheet with no problems (=does the tent has a thing material?) or did you buy and use one under the tent? Thanks for your patience 🙏
