I think it’s a good idea to use washers on both sides. Good video.

I got it installed! Your video was very helpful. I was thinking that instead of using u bolts, maybe a small ratchet strap would work. I do want to be able to easily take it off, and with my Thule crossbars the attachment they use is basically a piece of rubber. With the straps I could wrap it around the sidebar and distribute the weight a bit more.

I was wowed from the photos posted previously to this video. Nice looking setup and I think this would be a game changer for trips when weather is not ideal.

Sweet. They made the road easier to get in I believe. But I haven’t been down there in awhile. I’m headed for a camp trip out of town, otherwise I’d try and swing by and say hi.
