Thanks I bought one two months ago than got busy and was kind of intimidated by the install so this video has inspired me.

My family and I will be at Red Rock Canyon in early October. We will be staying in one of your favorite spots. Thanks for the recommendation, we are excited! We love your channel and can't wait for the next video!

I was wowed from the photos posted previously to this video. Nice looking setup and I think this would be a game changer for trips when weather is not ideal.

I think it’s a good idea to use washers on both sides. Good video.

I got it installed! Your video was very helpful. I was thinking that instead of using u bolts, maybe a small ratchet strap would work. I do want to be able to easily take it off, and with my Thule crossbars the attachment they use is basically a piece of rubber. With the straps I could wrap it around the sidebar and distribute the weight a bit more.

How tall is the awning when attached to your camper?
@WestOkOverlandАй бұрын
@@randypeaney7661 depends on how tall your camper is, and how you mount it on the brackets. For me I mounted it low enough it clears my garage door, but it’s still high enough I can stand under comfortably.

Are your plans for the one you pulled off to sell it? I would possibly be interested.

I moved it to the other side for now. I may keep it and have two awnings.

@@WestOkOverland that’s a great idea.

Me and my brother are heading to red rock this weekend, hoping to get into the overland area.

Sweet. They made the road easier to get in I believe. But I haven’t been down there in awhile. I’m headed for a camp trip out of town, otherwise I’d try and swing by and say hi.

@@WestOkOverland that would have been fun. We are also planning on doing the sugar creek loop. Maybe we can connect another time.

Mine was complete garbage. Zippers stop working. Mine had improperly sewn windows and mesh so couldnt use them. Their answer was to cut them. The awning had mismatched arm lengths resulting in tears in the fabric. None of there junk is water proof it all leaked. Like an idiot i bought a second awning and 2 toilet awnings and they ended up as garbage also. 2nd awning didnt even have tie downs for the guy lines lol. Also didnt have the naturnest branding. I also see you have the "first gen" mouts that fail pretty easily, their words not mine. Im so glad i didnt buy their over proced tets that leak also.

My experience has been exactly the opposite. I’ve been happy with mine. And as someone that owns several other “expensive” brands as well, this cheaper alternative works well for me so far. I honestly expected some issues like you described, but maybe I got lucky and mine was made properly.
