NAUGHTY NISSE (Original - Instrumental Only) Harp Twins

As a special Jul gift from us to all of you, we created an Instrumental/Harp only version of the original music that we composed as the soundtrack to our new Naughty Nisse story ( • NAUGHTY NISSE (Origina... ). Our story is about a mysterious and possibly mischievous mythical Norwegian Nisse. Our Naughty Nisse video was a unique challenge for us, as we had never before written music to score a spoken story. The music had to fit perfectly with the words - both with the feeling and timing. We wanted the music to compliment and enhance our story, and also to help bring the words to life. We spent a lot of time with one of us reading the story and the other improvising on harp along with the words. We set up our phone and filmed the improvisations and we used those improvisations to create the score. It was so much fun to let our hearts, imagination and musical intuition guide the creation of the score. Like our other original works, this story and music pay homage to our Scandinavian heritage. Some of our Norwegian ancestors lived both north and south of the Arctic Circle in Norway, and Jul traditions are an important part of the darkest time of the year.
Everything that you hear in the video is just our harps - exactly like we can perform it live with no overlays or backing tracks. Loved it just the same ladies without the story telling of the NAUGHTY NISSE. The instrumental part of the music was great, but when you ladies did it with your voices it put more twist into the music. I just had a thought - as you always wear the same shoes --so at least two pair per video. In this one there were four pair. I have not noticed you wearing the same shoes from one video to another -- so where do you store them? Do you have a “shoe room?”

Donald Booth ~ So silly! We have a shoe shelf. ;P ;P We do not have as many shoes as it might appear to someone who is not watching closely. Most of our shoes/booties have been worn in several videos. We often wear black boots that have been used in more than a dozen videos. We have even changed the color of another pair of boots with spray paint to make them look "new/different". We are very resourceful. :) :) x2

Christmas in Australia is the height of summer. So our Christmas dinner is lunch of cold sliced meats my fave is chicken loaf with rice or potato salad. July is winter so some community groups like kids sport clubs do Christmas in July with hot roasts .
